I don’t know but he played 16 games last season. He’s had 3 injury riddled seasons, all the rest he played 16 games.

I think he can still play if he can stay on the field.

I posted an article elsewhere that you may see a lot of 1 year contracts this season, could be a way players and teams deal with the low cap until it bounces back in 2022. Maybe Watt would take that kind of deal with the Steelers, play with his brothers for a year.

I think he will be in KC next year to get his ring. Mahomes is only at 24 million in 2021, and then 31 million and then 42 million.

Someday I want a job where I can tell my employer my salary is 'only' costing them $24M.

    Perhaps in the next life.

A dozen teams are interested in JJ. I think this means we don't get him.

The only edge we can offer is we have his brothers on the roster (though I can't imagine we keep Derek given his high salary and fact we don't use him). We won't be able to offer him the most money (up against the cap already due to Ben, Steelers are cheap) and he definitely won't have the best shot at a ring.

Bills, Browns and Titans all offer a better shot at a ring than the Steelers. I'm assuming Tampa Bay will make a run at him too, and same with KC. All those teams are closer to offering him a ring than the Steelers.

Yeah that makes sense. GB has the Wisconsin connection and they are title contenders every year wiwth Rodgers.

Tenn and Bills will be a playoff team again next year. We might finish 3rd or 4th in the AFCN next year

Only Qb maybe better than Ben in the AFCN is Burrow . Maybe.
Not midget Faker Mayfield, or I throw 2 the same 3 spots on the field, I can't read a D so I run L.Jackson.

I hate to say this but Mayfield now is definitely better than Ben.

I guess he took the money? Cardinals aren't really a contender.

Since he was cut, his free agency started immediately upon his release, after clearing waivers.

Well, the Watt reunion tour has officially been shelved. That is, unless the other 2/3 of the band look to be traded to AZ :hmm:

He went to the highest bidder in the end by the looks of it.

That's one sack that TJ let slip through his grasp. DON'T GO FOR THE STRIP, TJ! WRAP HIM UP! WRAP HIM UP!

Oh well, we have bigger fish to fry.

Does AZ still qualify as Pittsburgh West?

    Pretty much my thoughts.

My heart wants it because that'd be awesome to see. The reality is there are better fits for him elsewhere. I give him signing in the burgh like a 1% chance and eat my words if I'm wrong.

He's money the Steelers can't afford at a position not as much of a need at defensive line. I have a feeling he'd want to partake of a 4-3 defense to be more active.

I'm actually thinking he's a Buffalo Bill when all is said and done. Either there or the Packers

Doesn’t make much sense from Arizona’s point of view though, they are massively overpaying for a great but declining player.

I think he did both, got paid and went to a team on the rise.

Him and Jones make a formidable pass rush. Re-sign Reddiick. Pick up a WR to put opposite Hopkins, maybe even JuJu who has shown what he can do with a top flight reveiver across from him, they have RB’s in Drake and Edmunds and a dynamic QB.

Don’t think AZ is as far away from contending for a title as people are making them out to be.

I blame J. Jones, he has to be meddling to get the Cowboys back to the best team in Texas.

Well now that that rumor is over it's time to zero in on Derek Watt. If they are not going to use him, cut him. A 3.8 mill cap hit this season.

I don't care how much the Cardinals are on the rise they way overpaid for JJ.
