Since you were never fooled by our ,gameplan, or playcalling. It's a dang good thing we didn't play your team huh? We might have been 4- 12 instead of 12-4.
Have we ever had a OC that a big % of people didn't complain about?

We all know the team got more predictable as the injuries mounted up and the running game declined.

Fichtner lacked the creativity to develop the offense further, but as @SteelersFanIrl said, there were some pretty poor performances to go along with it.

I have liked a few..RF is the worse in the NFL by far... Yes the Steelers got lucky that DC'S where scared early in the season , sadly we will all get to see that 4-12 season really soon..As I stated the 11 wins we got had a lot of luck involved..Even Coach T was talking about how poor the O was playing.. The bottom of the NFL in running and the bottom of the NFL on short yardage and the bottom of the NFL in 1st. Quarter scoring ... Yep very lucky to win 12 games ..

The thing I don’t get is why some people don’t see that being lucky and winning games you shouldn’t is part of football. It’s like they’re waiting for some kind of authenticity to a record which is pretty much never seen. The teams with winning records are usually also lucky.

(A small point and not entirely on topic but still.)

Agreed. By this way of thinking. All the teams in the NFL were just Lucky. Only Tampa had real players, coaches, and skills.

I actually think 7-9 or 6-10 if the D can stay healthy and the new OC can do a great job...I still have some hope that we move on from the dink and dunk offense which could lead to a good season...

Funny thing about this season. I go to the same supermarket and the seafood manager is a Browns fan and I see him every week. When we had Washington coming up I told him I was pretty sure we would lose.

It`s so easy to see now how wobbly the wheels were on our band wagon before it fell apart. If somebody claimed we were the worst 11-0 team in NFL history at that time, they were right.

Just another reason why people are probably saying these things about the Steelers. As many of us have said, Bens deep ball was terrible.

Damn a lot of near picks on those short routes ..Almost all the Deep Balls had no Air on them ,IMO Ben has always done that he lacks that rain maker throw the best deep ball QB'S have..This doesn't give much room for era nor does it give the pass catcher the ability to adjust and the very worse thing is it leads to no contact...Had a lot of those throws had air under them they could have been caught or at least forced contact from the DB'S...

Please no more Ben clips I am trying to bring myself out of this doom and gloom funk...

Deep Ball gets easier to deliver if we had a run game.

Meaning that we wouldn't change up the defense and still use the same strategy against him time after time.

The non clinical definition of doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

It's hard to judge Darnold due to the Jets not having any playmakers on offense.

Yet hes been top in the league in deep passing most of his career. How do account for that. Been said by many 2 be one of the best deep ball throwers be4 this year.

I'm not going 2 argue, but that's what everyone says when they think a Qb is better than he maybe is. Just an example They said it Cam Newton whole career.

My eye test says he hit some 15 to 25 yarders and guys turned them into bigger plays... I have never seen Ben put air under his deep balls, he used to connect more than he did this year , but I have never thought of him as a great deep ball guy ..Drop it in a bucket so to speak he not that guy never has been..

Well the Jets had almost 40 year old Frank Gore at RB, and some no name receivers.
