Man, not even upset any longer. What a cheap n lazy hire....

Guy was the asst to Sarret who was obviously not good. Rinse n repeat- hire from within w a guy who wasn't good enough to get the job over the guy you just fired

    Hopefully false report, but

    Geez....

Rappaport is usually pretty spot on. Very disappointing hire if true

Idk... REALLY upset over this hire . the most important hire...That needed addressed because of a very underachieving unit... interview many veteran OL Coaches,And they hire their own ASSISTANT OL Coach!

Man....This team is so disappointing anymore, I don't even know...Was so excited for some new blood and techniques!

    And this smh!

Yeah, I’m just stunned at the lack of imagination. Maybe Klemm will be good but that line needed a new voice if nothing else. We all know the Steelers are a conservative team but god damn, you’ve gotta get some new ideas in to the building every now and then.

Promoting from within works when the guy who left was good - got promoted/hired himself. In this case, we're replacing a guy who sucked with the guy that worked under him. This is why the team plays under its talent level.

Like I said earlier, don't be shocked if they don't hire a QB coach because it's another salary to pay.

What players from UCLA developed under his tutelage?

Seems like the Steelers settled for Canada and Klemm.

Nothing against Klemm, but I was hoping for an old crusty guy who would get this line into shape! The John Mitchell of offense, if you will...

PM team noting he has a lawsuit for hazing players at UCLA who had concussion for not getting back to practice sooner n having other players hit concussed player in head n to eff him up
    n was fired for cause

    Winner..... oy vey

Maybe just maybe outside coaches see the **** show this has become n not sure Tomlin will 1 be there or 2 is someone they'd like to work with plus throw in bench running his off n a Kobiashi Maru, no win scenario

I'm willing to give Klemm a chance as he has played on the O-line before...… better a former player than some skinny dude who has no idea what he's doing...… besides.... our best O-lines were coached by former O-linemen.... Munchak and Russ Grimm

This guy does not have a good track record with accusations of telling his players to hit the head.

Are the Steelers trying to create their own BountyGate?

Another world wide search that just happened to find the perfect candidate already in the locker room. How convenient.
I’m sure these guys will embrace change, open up the offense, add new bells and whistles, and change Bens behavior.

Man, this organization is getting extremely in bred.

Assuming you mean former pro linemen. Sarrett did play college ball.

It's kinda weird. I remember when Cowher would bring in coaches from outside the org for higher positions, it generally didn't work out well and promoting from within worked better for him. But with Tomlin it's the complete opposite.

I'm ok with a coach trying to instill a lil mean, into the player or players, I just dont like going the cheap inexperianced rout ...I agree with SWSteel abt coaches not wanting to coach here .

It’s not really so much the Promoting from within. The issue for me is this: they decide the offense is terrible, they fire the OC. Fine. But the fix is to promote the lousy OCs underling. They decide the OL is terrible, they fire the OL coach. But again the fix is to promote the lousy OL coaches underling. What did Tomlin say about the definition of insanity?

has anyone ever heard of the expression that “a new broom sweeps clean”?
