Reported by Mark Madden, and despite what you may think of him, he’s normally correct on these matters, IIRC he was the first to report Bell and Bryant’s drug suspensions. Not a good thing that our best player is doing this, seems we have gone down that road before.

Madden is usually right about things? Seriously, what have you been watching and reading all these years. it certainly isn't what Madden has written and said.

This. No need to speculate until we have all the facts.

For all we know, he skipped the meeting so he could beat Derek to their backyard Subway!

Could be nothing could be something. He's a good kid with good morals. Probably ain't on the up and up with the clown show they keep in the rotation.

I'd hate to think that the best player on our team is upset at the organization. I wouldn't blame him for feeling that way though. This team is currently a plane spiraling out of control. Hopefully it's no big deal.

Mark Madden just making up more BS to drive a wedge. Should have figured that was the case right away.

he is doubling, then tripling down that his source is correct...then basically calling TJ a liar.

    Hey dexter402.

Well, unless there is an acceptable reason, then this behavior is unacceptable. I do not care about his status as one of our "Stars". Again, if true, this would be totally unacceptable; no matter where you stand on the team as far as talent-wise. It is a job, and like any other job, You respect the job and those that employ you. If your attendance is mandatory, at any meeting, and you do not show, that is not acceptable. So, before I go any further, without knowing the facts, my comments above would apply to any business in this World, any job.

TJ seems like a class guy. Given that, emotions are a strong force. If he is "boycotting" something by not attending then again that is unprofessional and unacceptable unless he was given permission to not attend. Once again, I will stop now without knowing the facts. Speculation is as powerful a force as are emotions. Both can take to you to regrettable places in the end.

Who knows, I want to believe TJ..and really the only thing that matters is between him Colbert and the rest. Pittsburgh is not that big, and the Steeler org is even smaller, so Madden has to elevate himself above his small penis stature by being the Don Rickles "Mr Warmth" of the local media.

Even if what Madden says is true, that alone doesn't mean much. There's lots of valid reasons for missing it.

With that said, even if this was a disobedience thing, even that isn't necessarily wrong. There are times when disobedience is required. If he's completely fed up with the coaching staff and is struggling to continue playing for them, then perhaps that's his way of sending a message.

Of course I'm not implying that what Madden says is correct. Just a hypothetical.

Take the fans who post here sporadically and obviously do not know crap (you now simple stuff), multiply them by those who post on Steeler's depot we can get (name a QB) here and still keep all of our draft picks, sprinkle in a few conspiracy buffs and you have his audience.

I'd be mad to if I were Watt... Potential DPOY who was going up against a 3rd team Tackle, Who his QB didn't even know until a few days prior to the game...Then he went out, And wouldn't have made a difference if the game was 2 hand touch on the QB!

I’m surprised Madden hasn’t been offered a job in politics
