I know but it's just another example of trying to address a problem without serious solutions.

I would say they are doing their due diligence with a low risk signing to a futures deal. As it stands we've basically replaced Duck with Haskins.

Who has the higher ceiling, Duck or Haskins?

If he doesn't impress in camp then he gets cut and probably finished in the NFL. If he does impress then maybe he moves up the depth chart.

For a team that's collapsed since December, both on the field and off it, this is the sort of signing that won't exactly re-build bridges. However, there are plenty more moves to come this year in terms of players coming and going. Let's see what the overall roster is looking like come September.

Steelers message board : The Steelers need to bring in a QB to replace Ben

Steelers : We are bringing in former first round pick..15th over all Dwayne Haskins

Steelers message board : NO NOT THAT ONE.. THE ONE I LIKE.

for all you that want Ben gone.... this should show you how hard it is to find "the guy" Tommy Maddox Paxton Lynch Chad Pennington.....20 years of Browns first round QBs. Its not easy to find. THE GUY. If the Steelers were able to draft Haskins in 2019... this board would have been ecstatic.... now a 13 starts into his career he is garbage....... now imagine that's your 2021 first round pick (insert your QB crush here)

I like the move. Little risk.. high reward. I like Watson... but not at the price In read this morning in an article....Tuitt...our 1and 2 this year...and our 1 2 and 3 next year....... Ill take Haskins for free plus a year of Ben.

He is our number 3 at this point. Dobbs isn't under contract. Duck wasn't kept either. Not a big fan.

Steelers message board : I really wish the Steelers would stress accountability, and clean up the perception that the team lacks discipline.

Steelers : Hey we found a guy that frequents strip clubs and falls asleep during meetings. Lets sign him!!!

Steelers message board : He was a first round draft pick who was good for a season in college. All is forgiven. Great signing!!!

Steelers got rid of two idiot malcontents in Bell and AB, Tomlin has allowed JuJu to dance, prance and gallivant all over the place until JuJu ended up looking dumb. Then you actually bring in a ****ing idiot moron who cares more about whores and strip clubs then quarterbacking? And you think it's no risk? Ok.

A head case QB signing? So what, it's not like we have had any issues in that past with these types of players. Tomlin's do what you want atmosphere is what these kinds of players need. You are not breaking rules if there are no rules.

No he’s not. Because he violated covid rules and has been late to meetings? AB’s resume is far worse than that.

The reason the kid is failing is because he has poor work ethics (which is also polar opposite of AB). If he has been humbled about his rough start to his NFL career and Tomlin can point him in the right direction, maybe they can benefit from this.

This is the definition of low risk high reward.

You should read more about him!

Also do you think Ron Rivera is the dumbest coach ever? Don't you think if the kid wasn't trouble they would have at least traded him for a bag of chips instead of releasing him outright?

Is this really Tomlin? are you trolling on here Coach T?

Or maybe you would like to go sign jamarcus Russell while we are at it? Maybe we can get Ryan Leaf also!

Come on man this is just silly!

Low risk, high reward signing. Canada definitely has his work cut out for him.

For all his faults, winning tends to mask everything. One simply need to look at early Ben’s off-field behavior and his on-field results

So tired of our front office incompetence. Maskless stripper party aside, if Haskins was worth a dang WTF would’ve kept him anyway.

Its low risk because he can be cut easily and his contract is (most likely) a cheap one.

    QB1: Ben
    QB2: Mason
    .
    .
    QB?: Haskins

Think about how often you've seen Dobbs in at QB and Haskins will be less than that. He may get a chance to "show his stuff" in week 17 (if he's still on the team).

If Ben retires then there will be serous questions about the QB room.

In his defense the strip club incident was misunderstood. He gave up his mask when he noticed the stripper wasn't wearing any underwear.

We already have a QB with poor work ethics, he's out starter.

No, don't say this is true.

This is something the Bengals, Jets or Browns would pull.

What has Tomlin done to our once dominant, feared team?

if you sign someone to a future's contract and that person makes the team do you have to renegotiate his contract at that point?
