I think it was more to do with relying so heavily on passes and gaining yards after the catch. That put a premium on turning upfield quickly as they caught the ball, which leads to more drops.

I think Johnson was the only one with the yips. The drops clearly got in his head. Ebron has always dropped too many passes. Did Claypool really drop that many?

Johnson had it the worst but during that 3 game stretch, all 3 of those guys were dropping passes. Can’t recall if JuJu was.

I looked it up, you are correct, Claypool had no drops during that span. Was mostly Johnson and Ebron.

From weeks 12-14 Johnson, Ebron and Schuster dropped the following during those weeks.

    Johnson: 2-3-2
    Ebron: 2-2-1
    Schuster: 1-1-0

We shall soon see. I blame Shaun Sarrett for what happened to the Offensive Line for the remainder of the season after the first four weeks of the season. Pittsburgh was a Top Ten Rushing Attack during the first four weeks. Why that tapered off is truly something I have not the foggiest.

Personally, I believe Chuks can be a rock solid Left Tackle. While I do believe he can become a good Run Blocker, it is his development in Pass Protection I will look at.

I’m glad you corrected the record about Claypool. I remember asking myself why wasn’t Ben targeting him more when Johnson and Ebron were dropping so many. Hopefully Canada gets Claypool more involved in the offence next season.

I wonder what is considered a drop and if it's the same from all the different statistic sources.
I remember reading an article stating Hines Ward defined a drop as any ball that hit your body and wasn't caught. That might be a lil stringent.

I wouldn't call two drops in three games the yips. I wouldn't refer to Ebron dropping passes as unusual. Johnson definitely let it get into his head, but he seemed a little better by the end.

Green Bay kept McCarthy and kept him and kept him and his overrated ability finally hit the wall. Look at GB now. Steelere need to seriously get rid of Tomlin after next year. It's over.

I wouldn’t say he did either, I was just listing the players who contributed to it in those three games, 14 dropped passes is a lot.

Ebron dropped 9 on the season, 5 in those 3 games so even that was a lot for him.
