Or maybe it’s a HR

I’m sure you’ve tried to get your foot in the door for a new job, that could be all the reason why he hasn’t gotten an offer.

Besides JuJu, Eli, and Cam most most of the Steeler FA's are easily replaceable. I do not think many teams are circling the vultures, those vultures you see are from the stink of our recent play and the overall death of our coaching staff.

These responses are interesting. I posted a thread a while back regarding how Colbert has been one of the top GMs in the NFL if we look at players drafted that were starters and the team's record. Basically he has a lot less flops than many other GMs. Obviously coaching also is in the equation for this stat which overall all has been good compared to other franchises despite the hating on Mike Tomlin.

In short, losing Colbert would not be a positive move for the franchise, but he's been talking retirement anyways so change is in the works upcoming anyways.

I think the only way he goes to Detroit is if the $$$ is substantial as I'm sure he's well established in the burgh

If Colbert doesn’t come back the Steelers will give the GM job to Tomlin so he can have complete control of the organization.

If they make an offer without permission to talk it is tampering. We could use the extra draft picks

I'm discussing the topic. You're making it personal. Again. Please don't do that. I disagree with your interpretation of his comment.
