Been up and down on him but what if they built the offense to fit him and not have him running Ben offense play to his strengths?

He still looks uncomfortable moving around in the pocket, even after all this time. I don't feel good about it.

I think that Mason could be reasonably productive, if he had a creative OC.

I don't think he's a long term solution but I do think that circumstances have made him look a lot worse than he might be.

Why can a undrafted QB from Old Dominion who is on his fifth NFL team and was a backup QB for a XFL team last year go head to head with the goat Brady and our 3rd heir to Ben hasn’t even beat the Browns?

It happens quite often, remember the forgotten guy from Dallas that almost beat us. For the most part you rarely (if ever) hear from these guys (a few exceptions).

Rudolph will be in his 4th year next season. So how can we really see if he can take the reins if in so Ben comes back?

The team will look majorly different next season. A lot of UFA's will be gone. The cap goes down next season.

Most are scared of a rebuild. I'm not.

Reports are Pouncey is going to retire. Hassenauer is not the answer. So they need a center.

I say get him some road graders a new OC a Power run blocking scheme a Healthy RB and a TE and lets see what he can do.. I thought he was terrible after watching last season ,but he looked much better this year and has earned at least a solid look..Heck to look okay under our OC he might actually be the next Marino,, well probably not but you get the point..

If Randolph is better than Rudolph , I'd say give him a shot too.

Because...You need a good OL and strong RB's to help offset/ help the QB out...We have neither!

I think we stick with Mason to see what he is capable of. Worst thing to do is draft a QB early only have to build a team around him as this has worked out so well for Sam Darnold (NYJ) and Ryan Tannehill (MIA). Not to mention the long line of QBs the Browns have destroyed through the years. Say what you want about Baker Mayfield, but he does have the team around him to look a a lot better. If we rebuild the OL and get a top tier RB, then Mason may be able to lead a respectable offense in the next year or two. If he does not play up to expectations, then draft the QB we need in order to complete the puzzle. I know many have stated he needs to be mobile, but I don't remember hearing anyone ever state that Brady's lack of mobility hurt his career.

The coaching staff and players know if he's worthy of being a starting QB. From my perspective (seeing him start 1 game) it appears that he has improved dramatically over last season. He probably deserves a shot at the starting job if Ben is gone.

Is this an inside joke? Not obvious, since many Steeler fans still can't spell simple names like Swann, Noll, Conner...
