Should be fired TONIGHT! But, He won't be.. There won't even be s whisper about it...THAT is why this once great organization is in the place it's in!

I AGREE, I dont always think a coaching change is the answer, but this brand of football has become a pattern and its not a good one. Tomlin is the one "running" the show and if I am a network executive watching this crap, the show would definitely get yanked! We need new cliche's in the locker room, new focus , new ideas, new everything!!!!

Once great & once laughable. Many times in the middle.

Need a offensive head coach moving forward imo.

The comments I don't understand go like this: Tomlin didn't throw 4 picks. Tomlin didn't drop a pick 6. Tomlin didn't center the ball over Ben's head. And on and on. My problem with that is at some point you have to look at coaching. Good teams don't make those mistakes. Good teams are prepared for the opponents they face on a weekly basis. Something is wrong with this football team. Maybe it's the coordinators on staff. If so those people should be shown the door immediately. If it's the head coach he has to go. The fact that Tomlin isn't making the mistakes on the field doesn't mean a thing. His players are out there playing like garbage. Yes injuries played a role this year, no doubt. Cleveland was without several starters as well last night and we saw what they did to our team. At some point the poor play has to point back to the coaching staff. Another one and done this year. I'm not saying Tomlin should go. I'm saying this team needs fixed and it needs fixed now. Time to talk to Ben and convince him not to come back. Yes the cap hit will hurt but not as much as paying him the full salary. It's time to rebuild this team. Mason Rudolph will not be the answer at QB long term. But I suppose the Steelers need to see what a 3rd round QB can do playing on a week in and week out basis. I have no hope there. The Browns last coaches didn't play on the field either. But now they seem to have a coach that can actually make a difference in how the team is prepared and how that teams in organized for success. The steeler coordinators are horrible. The whole structure of this team from top to bottom must be up for review. I get that the Rooney's hired a black coach and will not let him go. Eric Bienemy is out there. I'm disgusted by the way this team is playing right now. So whatever the solution is that solution must be found. There needs to be a plan in place to improve this team. I have zero hope that it will happen. The standard is the standard

Yea who cares that shouldn’t matter and is the dumbest reason ever. Just because going 10-6 or 8-8 might be okay if you coach somewhere like Jacksonville or Detroit doesn’t mean you just keep Tomlin because somebody else would hire him. The standard in this town is Lombardi Trophy’s and this team under Tomlin’s guidance with a HOF QB hasn’t been to one in over 10 years now and that is unacceptable and warrants a change.

And I'm willing to bet whatever team he goes to he would struggle and never see the same "success" he had here ever again.

Agree 100%. Dick Vermeil once said, "if you don't like what you see on Sunday, remember, you coached it during the week".

Tomlin's only answer is "next man up. play better."

This is why they often fade late - injuries pile up for every team. The Steelers can't overcome them with this coaching staff.

Heres the thing. Lets say they fire Tomlin. Lets say they want a drastic culture change and gut the management but still fit the mold of how the ownership wants to run the organization.

This is where it gets so complex. Lets be honest...and call me out on this if you have facts but Ben has earned some type of influential status of the teams direction.

Yes..he was upset when certain OC got fired but he has pull now if you will.

Now picture a young candidate gets the gig who is younger then Big Ben.

I honestly can not see this guy getting credibility or even influence on Ben.

I would not want a puppet either whose hands are tied.

I try to picture my job as an Engineering Manager and I cant lie...there are these young Gen X or millennial types who come from a top 10 Blue Chip college...and they quickly tell the General Manager that they should report directly to them two months in and skip myself and my boss.

I have seen it in other companies that they will give you the rope...but they will also let you hang from it if you fail.

I just dont think that chemistry will work but what do I know. Just my 2 cents.

Listening to the talking heads saying the same things they said in past years........ Tomlin doesnt need to be fired, he needs to be put on notice, , put him on a short lease, blah, blah, blah, fire the assistant coaches, but ..keep tomlin, blah blah blah......Its just the same excuses and a diff year with these guys....

I wouldn't consider MT or Ben HOFer now. They may have been before but do you still believe they are performing at that level now? Ben is not even playing as well as Mason and MT is a buffoon on the sideline and game prep. JMO

Tomlin should move on and build up a college program. With his personality and the way he relates to players, he would be a recruiting machine. What do you think Mike? Up for the challenge? Virginia could use you!

Gonna re tool and go 9-7 next year and be one and done again.

2022 may be the first rebuild year. Randy should be gone and maybe butler leaves. Tomlin will stick around another 5-10 years

Can someone explain how we are down 3 or 4 scores. knowing we want to pass every down. Yet our offense has 5 linemen, 1 QB, 3 WR, 1 TE and 1 RB (lined up at WR). I never saw JuJu, Johnson, Claypool, Washington and Ebron all on the field at the same time. The Browns were thin in the secondary. If we bring in more WR's they have to go deeper into their roster. We didn't even try it. If you keep the RB on the field to help block or leak out of the back field then I understand but that's not what they did. He lined up wide multiple times. The defense was able to focus on 3 guys instead of having 5 headaches.

I got to wonder if his ra-ra type talk is just being ignored by these players? He tried to come in as a tough coach, but I'm wondering if he has become too buddy-buddy with the veteran stars on the team over the years. The veterans were the ones that killed us last night.

The ra-ra cliches would be better served for college kids.

Fire Randy Fichtner first. He has been nothing but trouble since 2019; 2018 even if factoring in some elements.

Well thank f@#king goodness he still has yet to post a losing season. Nevermind, this is just another late season collapse with all the talent and skill to win the SB with. This broken record has gotten real old.

That's the story of the last 4 years. In 14 years, he has completely missed the postseason 5 times and gone 1-and-done 5 times. Show me someone who is content with that and I'll show you a loser.
