Did anyone else hear Cower call out our D especially Ike? Saying Ike is playing at such a low level that Dick will be forced to give him help on every play
I'll go down with the ship if it starts sinking..Unfortunately It feels like we are about to hit that iceberg. This weeks game against the Bungholes is a MUST win! No way we make the playoffs with a loss this week. That would be 4 losses to AFC teams already. :frustrated: Time put up or shut up! :yeehaw:

I'll go down with the ship too, but about to hit the iceberg? We've been bailing water for a long time now.

I'm glad Coach called them out. Someone they actually listen to needed to.

I'm gonna think of a different metaphor because this one is really taking the wind from my sails.

Yeah, you don't want to get stuck in the doldrums. And the last thing you need is an albatross around your neck.

Just don't become a loose cannon, or you're likely to find yourself high and dry.

We have zero Division losses...This is our saving grace if we have one....We probably can't win any tie breakers so we need to approach the Division just like that....Every Division game is a Superbowl ,,,and if we want any chance to play in the real Superbowl we must win the Division....

Lots of ifs, but if SD wins tonight and we beat Cinn next week, we're in very good shape for the WC

Except that we have to win games to stay there, and our schedule only get harder.

I'm not sure I want a wilcard. This team needs to re-tool and a higher draft pick would help... Does anyone think we'd go in and beat even a fringe playoff team on the road?

Unfortunately, if the Steelers have a chance BECAUSE other teams are losing players, and not because of talent and execution, that doesn't bode well if they do make it to the playoffs.

Do you really think that the 2005 team was the best team in the playoffs? I'm still amazed we went all the way. Just have to get in, have to be in it to win it.

I think we were the best team in the playoffs, the same as I think the NYG were the best team in the playoffs last year, even though many people argue that fact.

No, we played the best in the playoffs, big difference then being the best. The post season in any sport is often about who gets the hottest at the right time. If you really think that the Steelers and Seattle were the 2 best teams in the NFL that year I just don't know what to tell you.

I never said that year. That year is different than the playoffs that year. Come playoff time, we played better than any other team, so I believe we were the best during that playoff run. Same with Seattle, they played the best, so they were the best during that run. It doesn't mean I think the Steelers were the best team on paper or that they'd repeat if everything was the same as 2005, but yes, if you play the best during the playoff run, you are the best.

The SuperBowl isn't about the best team throughout the year. The regular season is only to provide a chance at playing for the SB. The SB is about the best team during the playoffs. If we weren't the best team during the playoffs, then why didn't we lose to one of the other teams we played? We beat everyone in our way, including arguably the greatest QB in NFL history. What more can you ask from a team other than to win every single team it faces?

nice comeback. LOL they only hand out a trophey to the best team, not the one they think should win it like the BCS. we had a pretty good team then. we were solid all around. injuries play a role during the season. part of the reason the giants didn't have a better record in the regular season. they got those guys back at the end of the year and they lifted them up as the best team. we were good heading into the playoff that year. we had indy beat soundly if the calls didn't screw that up. that's what ended up making that game closer then it should have been. the fumble at the end hurt us or we really would have spanked the colts, who everyone thought was so much better then us and at home. we were a good team and i can't believe you don't think so.
