Seriously what’s up with Boz? Rookie kicker in the playoffs makes me nervous

First of all how the hell can your kicker be hurt this much and out? Second very concerned about unproven kicker come playoff time. I know the kid has hit some big kicks but that’s not during the playoffs and the pressure that comes with it.

What is his injury and has he been out for a month or so?

Boswell needed to be cut a couple years ago but FO was too worried about the money

Can we at least check the injury report to make sure the player isn’t playing before we go on a rant about him not playing when he is?

No, that takes as much effort as posting we should trade for so and so 3 weeks after the trade deadline.

Wright has been right down the middle on every kick. I feel comfortable even if Bos doesn't play.

The Bills Rookie PK hit a 54 Yder. So it can work. If Bos tore a groin muscle, he’s probably hurting and trying to tough through as best he can.

Apparently, you missed the 2019 season. Boswell is still one of the best kickers in the NFL. Your take makes no sense. You don't cut good players just because they get hurt.

Wright has been fine on placements, but they don't seem to trust him on longer kicks and he doesn't get enough depth on his kickoffs.

I’d rather have the rookie than a kicker trying to kick with a groin injury.

Kaboly posted a good article about Wright, seems like they found a diamond in the rough.

For kicks 40 yards or less, even 45 he is probably good. Those KO's though are scary, you just do not want to give your opponent that many chances to return a kick. Unless he finds some length on those boots he will not have a long career.

I remember seeing only one kick last week that even made it to the goal line

Any chance we dress both? Just in case? Don’t think Berry is an emergency kicker, if Boswell were to tweak the groin. It would definitely take away the idea of dressing all 3 QB’s, for those that are hoping for that option.

I hope not, you need that extra depth in other positions. If there is any doubt you go with the rookie and just grin and bear it.

If they did, I guess that would scrap the idea of dressing all three quarterbacks so they could run Dobbs out there for some RPO stuff.

It'snot the idea of rookie, its just does not seem like he has the same distance, but checking a college page for him accuracy has never been an issue and he has booted up to 48 yards. To me it's really a coin toss, dress both or go with the rookie. I really do not think its a great advantage either way, I guess Dobbs could give that magical play or two..or throw 5 passes for 2 net yards.

if the choice is to go with 2 kickers or 3 QBs, I say 3 QBs. Boz is healthy or he’s not. Play him if hes healthy or sit him if he’s not. 3 QBs has intrigue, but I doubt that the Josh Dobbs traveling shovel pass show will work all that well. I’d suit up 1 KICKER, 2 QBs and fill the other special teams spots

Does anyone really believe the team would pull Ben out of the game and put in a gimmick 3rd string QB before putting in our real back up Mason? Against a team that has already seen this in RF's grand plan from last week? Waste of a uniform.

Maybe. But the Steelers have moved on from kickers who didn't perform as badly as he did a couple years ago. The money was the difference.

The track record was the difference. Clearly, whatever was going on two years ago was fixable. They were smart enough to see that and he has rewarded them for that since.
