This is disappointing, for sure, and seems to make no rational sense for an outdoor event. However, let's make sure it doesn't devolve into a political thread.

Reichsfuhrer Cuomo in the Peoples Republic of NY is allowing 6700 in Buffalo. But they have to show a negative COVID test, provide their dental records and a note from their mother to be considered for entry. The stadium holds 80,000.

Disappointing for sure. I would have thought they would at least let 5000 or so in.

no big surprise. The state gets a big cut of the casino take. That’s why it’s one of the few public venues in Pa where you can smoke. Though we dare not question the dear Govs commitment to preserving public health.

Maybe Wolfe should consider the PA bar approach. You can only attend the game while eating a sandwich.

Wolf cant make any money off letting in fans, that's why the casino and liquor stores stay open.

I understand the need to keep the attendance low, but surely they could allow more like between 6500 and 10,000??? Would really have liked to have had some fans there cheering them on for a playoff game.

Citizens are immune from the virus if the tax revenue of the activity is high enough. The Steelers should offer to add a $100 state tax to every ticket sold for the game. I bet they could get a waiver for at least 10,000 fans by tomorrow.

a few years ago, the State of PA legalized fireworks after banning most for 40+yrs. Why? Because they put a 20% state sales tax on them. If some kid blows off a few fingers, so be it, Civil servants need paid.

Yeah my favorite politician line was our former governor Ed Rendell that Pennsylvania needed this casinos, if we added all casinos that it would eliminate property tax for almost all PA residents.

They haven't disappeared, they only got higher for most.

They all tell you what they want you to hear.

Why wait until 3 days until game day? There was zero chance he was going to let fans in this whole time. What an ass. They should hold the game in Cleveland, but sell tickets to Steelers STHers.

Too bad New Jersey can't adopt Philadelphia, so PA can stop electing these clowns.

Of coarse this would never happen but it would be awesome if about 65,000 Steelers fans showed up via Uber, or the subway or some other form of transit since they won't allow the parking and just surrounded the stadium with portable radios or TV's to cheer on the team. It would definitely give the team a boost and certainly would gain national media.

We need to somehow turn Heinz field into Walmart or Lowe’s

    Then everyone could go.
