Good to have him back today and from what I saw, he played really solid. I don’t know how Feiler is coming along, but I wonder if there’s any chance they consider moving him to RT, when/if he gets healthy. Might be tough to do at this point of the season, but I think that would be our best line right now.

He’s on the rise. One bad penalty Sunday, but that’s nitpicking.

Matt Feiler (and Robert Spillane) will practice this week. Even if activated, I think Dotson will start.

The few times we get positive rushing yds is when Dotson is on the field

I think Dotson keeps the spot and at least we have 1 Future OL..We need to pick the OC and the future QB before we start getting to many OL .. The OL needs to match the style of play and play calling ie if More runs and PA then maybe go with Man Blocking OL if running zone or zone read go Quicker OL..

My personal preference has always been to have both and go big, quick, big, quick, big .. Use your Big guys as Power and let Your Guards do the pulling, trapping, and combo blocks..

I think I was on BR and then a link to the Tribune, there was a breakdown of Dotson that was well done and very detailed. In the second half they let him block Buckner 1 on 1 pretty tough for a rookie. Dotson more then held his own and on some running plays he moved his man right into another DL. Unfortunately AV lost contain and a LB shot the gap but in all the plays they highlighted Dotson looked really good. I think we have the first brick in the wall for the next offensive line.

I would say that T is likely Feiler's only option at becoming the starter. It will then depend on how the Steelers feel about our other Tackles (Chuks and Banner) at LT as to whether or not we could afford to let Villanueva go. Ideally Feiler becomes the top backup at G and T and Chuks or Banner wins the T job on merit.
