I can't believe the Dolphins are this stupid and will give up on him after 8 or 9 games, but at lot of media types think they will, and they *do* have the 3rd pick in the draft.

If they make him available for a 2nd or 3rd round pick, would you do it?

How about that guy that stepped in at QB when the entire Bronco QB roster was quarantined? I think with more snaps, he could turn into something special.

I don’t know who is saying that but I give it zero chance the Dolphins give up on Tua.

Not sure why they even would entertain the idea.

No way they give up on Tua.

And even if they have a high draft pick again, it is not in the first 2 and I would think that for sure Lawrence and Fields will be gone.

there's a better chance of Cincinnati winning the superbowl than the dolphins giving up on tua

SNR was speculating about it a month ago when they were going to switch from Fitz to Tua to see what they had in Tua since they would have several high picks. Would they pass on Lawrence without being sure Tua was the future. At least that was the thinking on it. Similar talk about Darnold and the Jets. High draft pick good QB draft class do you hope he gets it together or go all in on Lawrence.

Edit: Also not unheard of, Arizona did it with Rosen and Murray

With the number of highly touted QB's who never pan out, it would be smart to draft another QB whether they believe in Tua or not. Washington did it with RG3 and Cousins.

    Take the best player available

Bucky Brooks wrote an article suggesting that they should weigh Tua vs this years prospects considering they have the 3rd pick.

That these new guys possibly have superior skills. They can run better and have better arms.

I have not the foggiest as to why people are saying that to begin with anyways. Tua really is not the problem here. The lack of a true weapon is.

Get him Jaylen Waddle and all should be good. If not Waddle, Ja'Mar Chase from LSU is another option. Selecting another QB is not going to fix the Dolphins Receiving woes.

They will if Murray continues to have injury woes.

Draft a line to protect the guy with the 3rd overall pick you will get the best guy in the draft for the O-line.

Tua will be leading the Dolphins for the next 10-15 years as long as his hip holds up.

If their GM wastes an opportunity to build around Tua with a #3 pick, he should be run over with a steamroller, both ways.

That's for sure. Not saying Tua has been terrible but I never thought he was a 1st round QB, let alone a top 5 pick.

Miami has been rewarded with the rare opportunity to pick very high in the draft while fielding an already good team. They can potentially go from good to great with the right pick providing an instant upgrade to their team. They'd completely waste that rare opportunity by spending it on another QB project.

Who are those "media types" in the OP? Is Maddog78 one of the two people who read a blog written by an angry Dolphins fan who lives in his mother's basement? (The other two being the blogger's mother.)

They need to give Tua some weapons and bolster their line. He can be good, it would be insane to give up on him now. Their defence is already good despite getting blown out on Sunday.

As it happens, I would not be surprised to see Juju end up playing there with Tua. A big bodied possession receiver like Juju to complement Gesicki and Parker would be a huge help to Tua’s development. They have the cap space to do it too.
