Rudolph has the odds against him not having the compliment of a few defensive stars. But, he will also be victim to to Fichtner's horrid play calling.

This actually turned out to be true. The play calling at times was bizarre. Stupid gadget plays that really never achieved anything....run plays that have zero chance of gaining positive yards..... I'd say Mason did what was asked of him and more. The play calling probably lost this game. the only thing that Mason did that bothered me was the INT. Int's happen but that was his fault but he could learn from it with more playing time and practice.

I feel like Fichtner is calling plays like he's playing Madden instead of real life at times. The gimmick and trick plays just don't work, but he keeps calling them even though they never work! Mason played a great game today and almost pulled out a victory despite the play calling. One thing that I did find very promising going into next week is that there were routes down field to #11 FINALLY!!

I was not a fan of the Dobbs read option stuff. I thought it threw off the momentum of the offense. The play at the goaline to Vance was a fumble waiting to happen.

Other than that I thought playcalling was okay.

Yep Claypool had 11 targets in this game and got open a lot and made some big catches. They have to try and get him the ball more times then not. He is a weapon that causes teams problems and can stretch the field vertically. He needs to be on the field 90-95 percent of the snaps next week period.
