His weekly performance is so God awful, he's a major reason why we can't run the ball ...absolutely terrible

 

AV is getting bullied in virtually every game. They will surely let him walk away in the off season, he may even retire.

Chuks is a mixed bag too, he can be very good but not consistently. Tackle is a big need going on to the next draft. They might bring Banner back at RT, see if he can do a job there.

Love the guy, love his pride, what he did for his country and what he stands for, but he is about finished. I get the feeling maybe part of it is that he doesn't have the heart for it anymore.

Being 6'9 is a major detriment in terms of leverage against shorter edge rushers. Nevermind that though, father time has caught up with him. This is yet another reason why I had wished Zach Banner were still available.


Granted, 6'9 vs 6'8 is miniscule to begin with. That said, Banner is the younger of the two and may have yielded better results. I just hope Banner can return to 100% should the team keep him.

I just hope he is 100% when 2021 rolls around. ACL Injuries are not easy to come back from. I am hoping he can.

He is but he loves it in Pittsburgh and would probably sign another team friendly deal.

 

I agree on Villanueva's run blocking, but the running backs do not do the o-line any favors when there are the rare openings. Conner has no vision and dances sideways when he should be smashing forward.

Juju and Bud are much more proven performers and are well entitled to follow the money. Good luck to them.

Banner is completely unproven and will probably come back on a short term prove it deal. He might be a good RT if he gets a chance. I hope that is the case.

 

How many sacks has AV given up this year?

My thoughts are while he may not be great with the run, the line as a whole hasn't been great with the run. Perhaps that's a result of always being in shotgun. But, he's better at pass blocking and he protects Ben's blindside. So, we ride with him this year.

 

Cam and Eli...sign em, sign them all. Oh wait, they need to be cut from another team first.
