Just because it’s not easy, doesn’t mean we keep, giving him a pass for being inept. They ended up replacing Magic and Bird with coaches who could coach.
We’ve wasted all of Bens last great years and now we’re in quite the predicament. A QB that is all but done with his replacement nowhere in site and an offensive line in tatters that has to be replaced and rebuilt.

You never know until they get in there. As someone said earlier, I think he would make a very good OC. I enjoy games that he's in the booth. He can read an offense or defense formation really quickly and IMO gives some really great insight into the finer points of the game I love to hear. On top of that, unlike other announcers like Tory or Collinsworth, he doesn't come off as a homer or a hater ever. I think too many people get hung up on who Romo was as a player and who he played for.

It can’t hurt to always try and improve the team.

Won’t happen, but Romo as an Offensive Coordinator may be interesting.

But Steelers next one is Ben so doesn’t matter

It's often easier to criticize and analyze the job someone else does than to do the job one's self.

I cringe every time I read this crap. Easiest schedule in the NFL? You know who had the easiest schedule in the NFL- The Green Bay Packers. They got their 2nd win this season against a team with a winning record. We have 5 wins over teams with 10+ wins. You know who always has weak schedules at the end of the year- Teams that win a lot. You know who has strong schedules at the end of the year? Teams that lose a lot.

He has the advantage of being above the field with a great view.

I think that Romo would be an interesting choice for an OC position then go from there. I really enjoy listening to his analysis during games and was spot on when talking about the clock issues at the end of the 1st half. I don't know if Romo would even want a coaching position, he has it pretty nice now and still is able to spend time with his family.
