I thought he was very good today and was very disruptive especially in the 2nd half. He caused Rivers to throw the ball early by getting pressure on the interception by Hilton in the 4th quarter with about 6 minutes left that allowed the Steelers to kill the clock with some first downs on offense. He also got to Rivers and forced him to throw the ball earlier on the 4th and 7 incompletion to Pascal that sealed the victory with over a minute left. He was very good today and hopefully he can keep that up moving forward. He was very solid.

They have found Dupree's replacement. He will only get better.

In asked and answered Labriola stated he has played more games than he did in college. IDK if that is more games in a year of total, but we knew he was raw coming in. His upside is tremendous.

Highsmith is playing well. But Bud plays at a speed that most guys dont have. I would still love to have Dupree if given the option.

He is still very raw, like Bud Dupree in years 1-3 raw. If Vince and Williamson hadn't been playing so horrible some of his gaffes would have been covered up but with so much inexperience there were ones that stood out.

Highsmith still has some ways to go. That said, he is adjusting to the game much quicker than I thought. Hopefully 2021 will allow Training Camp to open so that Highsmith can get those much needed reps in practice. That way, he can fine tune those abilities more.

Highsmith is not bad for a 3rd rounder.

He is a raw talent, but we are beginning to see what the scouts saw in him. On a related note, I was hard on WIlliamson in the GDT, but he made some play, too. I don't think he's a big splash guy, but if he can be solid and dependable the more comfortable he gets in this scheme, he'll be just fine.

He finally got going against a third-string offensive tackle. I'm encouraged. It wasn't near Dupree's level, but it was a step in the right direction.

Yeah...me too..I was thinking he was a step slow the past few games and was thinking to myself what a glorified 3rd stringer...but I have no problem taking it back with that kind of 2nd half effort.

Although he was going against 2/3 rd stringers I loved his relentless motor!

I've been singing his praises since the draft ended...……. he still has a long way to go and needs to be a little more disciplined in containment, but those things come with experience...… The game is starting to slow down for him a little, and he has a very high ceiling, which he will reach quicker with TJ on the other end and Tuitt on his side as well

Yeah I don't mind him starting full time. We will still need to add an OLB (should Dupree leave, which is likely) but I don't think we have to burn a high pick on it.

Highsmith will be quicker once he gets used to things. At least the kid is already showing some moves so early. All Bud did was run straight out of the play. Took Bud 4 years to finally wake up, people wanted him gone in the first 3. I'm still not sold on Bud , is he just playing well for the payday, then go back to garbage. Strange how it took this long to finally get up to speed.

This STEELWINDS, i really like to see more use of the RB in the passing game. Deep passes helped.

I've been paying attention to the way the Colts use Nyheim Hines. Wish Highsmith had Bud's speed but the kid looked good today.

Highsmith is improving. He wasn’t a big factor today though from what I saw.

"as well as already having played more games in a season than he ever did in college."
Labriola means in a season. Highsmith played 45 games in college.

    Yep.

I understand I will sound like a broken record player but an Offensive Tackle is looking mighty good right now. I am now under the assumption that the shoulder stinger Chuks sustained earlier this season is affecting him more than we realize. Even if it is not, Banner, Big Al and Gray are all destined to go elsewhere. Have to pick up one in Round One.

Jalen Mayfield and Liam Eichenberg are still my incumbents.

He's the future, but I want the Texans to cut this man so we have a shot at signing him in 2021

He is a little slower than what we are used to seeing, but not many guys are physical freaks like Dupree. He showed some positive signs today, but keep in mind that he was facing a third-string left tackle most of that second half.

Would love to have him, and I'm sure he would love to come to Pittsburgh, but:

    A) just not a position of need

    B) he would have to take a yuuuuuuge paycut

Easy enough to find snaps for a guy like that and he's exactly the type to take less so he can win and be with family. I honestly have no idea if Houston would move on from him though.
