    Bye Bye Playoffs

A team that loses 2 games to 2 of the worst teams in football....Tenn and Oakland have a combined 3 wins....This team will get dominated by the Ravens.

    I was thinking 500.

Maybe I'm still being too optimistic though.

If the Steelers make the playoffs, I'll shave my friggin' head. Don't get mad if I don't run out and buy a razor. I don't see it happening.

Even if the banged up players get cleared to play, they should sit until they are 100% healthy. Give the backups and the 3rd stringers some reps to truly see what we will be working with in the next few years.

This loss was disgusting. They should have blown them out of the ****ing water!

At this rate I'm scared of the Browns on the road. We've already lost to 2 of the worst 3 teams on the road. Those stupid Stains will probably be confident when they play against us.

I don't know what to think.

I think on one hand it's too early to throw in the towel but on the other hand we're freggin terrible.

The rebuilding though, regardless, started this past offseason.

The wait until the next era has begun.

I just took a look at our remaining schedule and to be honest, if we continue to play like we did last night and against Oakland, this team wont win another game. I know that is highly unlikely but there are only 2 teams on the schedule who I think we can possibly (and yes I said possibly) beat...the Chiefs and Browns. At this point, both of those teams even scare me! Its gonna be a long season, so get ready for alot more disappoinment. I see us at 5-11 or 6-10.

Our 3-4 Defense has more holes than swiss cheese ....Troy plugs a bunch of those holes his Football IQ is like adding 2 players and his Talent level is like adding 2 players....So when Troy is in the game we get to play 11 on 11,,,without Troy its more like 11 on 7 .....How in the world can we expect to win games if one guy makes that much difference?

To me it proves a scheme change is past due,,,,,and we must upgrade the talent at DB ,by any means available...

Even if the team finished 10-6, they would likely lose every possible tiebreaker due to all it's afc losses. 3 of them THREE!!! Pathetic. There is about a 5% chance this team makes the playoffs. Tomlin is awful by the way. Chest bumping Ike?!?!? GFY mikey.

Luckily they still have the Ravens twice.

Its a tall task, but 2 wins against them and the Bengals will cure a lot of what ails them.

Your talking about beating the ravens twice when the combined record of the 3 teams they have lost to is 5 wins and 11 losses????

This isn't a 2012 thing , this started last yr, we could've lost to kc and indy, 2 of the worst teams last yr on the road and the only reason we didn;t is because they shot themselves in the foot at the end, not cuz we did anything spectacular. And hence it all came to a head in denver in the playoffs. Larry Foote said it best after the game last nite, they are not mentally tough to play on the road right now and i agree with him. Y aknow whos job it is to get them mebtally tuff, the head coach and hes to busy chest bumping miniscule plays as if it was a superbowl or something.

I said its a tall task and anything is possible. Im just not ready to throw in the towel yet. Its a loooong season and the Steelers aren't as bad as everyone is making them out to be today.

And to be honest I feel better about playing the Ravens than the Browns at this point. Especially the way this team plays down to the competition.

I don't feel better about playing anyone at all.

Every game is going to be tough this year.

The lucky stars are going to have to start aligning immediately if we're going to turn this around.

    But I doubt it.

I agree on just about everything stated. However, I feel Troy is no longer the beast he used to be. Still a special player and one of our all time favorites, yet with his nagging injuries, he lately hasn't been that much of a difference maker IMO.

We play down to our competition. No loss ever surprises me. Losses to 2 terrible teams really doesn't tell us anything about the rest of our season, and I still feel like we have playoff potential.
