Other teams know our system but they also know for the majority we are old. I watch other teams and they would just blast bye us.

Outside of Ben, where exactly do you see us as old at

 

What we are doing may be old and the other teams have broken the code (obviously) , but not so much our roster..

 

Well that middle of the pack isn’t keeping up with anybody. You need to take off the rose colored glasses and look at reality.

 

AV isn’t really that expensive for a middle of the road LT and he will be gone at the end of the year. One of Pouncey / DeCastro will be cut in the off season for cap reasons as well I reckon. I don’t see them being able to retain both with the cap crunch that is coming.

Ed Bouchette has an eye opening article in The Athletic this week about this issue. Most of us casual fans really don’t understand how difficult this off season is going to be if the cap turns out to be as bad as projected. It’s going to be very difficult to put a competitive roster together for 2021.

The older guys on defence are contributing at least.

 

If they can retain AV for close to the same price he is good value at 8 mil LT's are expensive, DD still has something left. Pouncey I have seen more decline in his game the last two years maybe a restructure to hang on one more year and mentor a new center.

Defensive line at least the starters might all get old together which is a tough fix, if they can keep them they are all very productive now but might drop off quickly as they age.
Although Heyward is the oldest and looks like a man against boys most games, he might still be productive at 35.

To be a consistent competitive team they always have to juggle term vs money with vets like Pouncey and Ben, both are making way more this season then they are worth.
Might of been a big mistake to give Ben 60 something mil at this point in his career, his contract is a difficult work around.
