I'm indifferent. If Ben plays in 2021... I'd like to see Steelers pick up somebody in free agency like Darnold as #2, potential #1.

He needs to worry about playing in 2020 first before thinking about 2021.......

For that kind of money I'd play as long as they would pay me.

Now that the Jets have screwed up and won a game, they are no longer on track for the No. 1 overall pick. If the season ended today, Jacksonville would be first and they are certainly taking Lawrence. If the Jets aren't getting Lawrence, they are probably keeping Darnold.

That said, the Steelers do need to be looking for their next quarterback now, but Roethlisberger is going to be the starter in 2021.

I hope he comes back. Ben deserves to go out in front of us fans at Heinz for a final time, hanging it up in front of zero fans just seems like a travesty. Regardless of what happens this season.

But, Steelers really need to start to think strong and hard about the future, I know you want to get a guy to help you win now in the draft, but if some one you really like slips down.

    Go after him.

Dak Prescott could be another possibility for the Steelers. I could see Jones trading up to get Fields.

I don't think he is a realistic option financially, especially if Roethlisberger plays one more year. The injury is going to depress Prescott's value some, but he's still going to command big money.

Let's hope he can work on that 5 yard deep pass in the offseason.

The other option is a huge dead-money cap hit for cutting him loose, and they still need to find a quarterback. Rudolph and Dobbs do not look like the answer.

Just wait until they get a healthy team next year!

l almost expect a Super Bowl appearance next year.

Will it be a repeat try?
It’s gonna be a tough task this year.

The Steelers already have a plan, we just don't know about it. We're the checkers players, the Steeler Org are playing chess. I hope.

In a way we're worse off then the Iggles and Wentz who have Hurts playing decent. At least Wentz has youth still on his side but that's an expensive clip board holder for the next few seasons if they can't unload him. If Ben,is doing the best he can based on his physical limitations right now, that's if, we're in for a similar situation for a while as we're not trading him and his contract I don't think. I believe he is at the limit of what he can do based on wear and tear, elbow, knee, etc and perhaps an off season of regular time off will make him bounce back next year. He is one of the least sacked and beat up QBs in the league this year but at his age it may not take as much pounding to have the same negative effect as what he took in his early years and he played through it. Lets see what happens in the next few weeks.

I hate to say this but the steelers might extend him to spread out the cap hit.

I think there will be a drop off either way after this. The defensive losses and offensive losses will be quite substantial either way.

A few mocks have the Steelers taking Trask out of Florida near the end of round 1....after watching the SEC championship game I can get on board with that. Give him a year or two under Ben.
