What should our record be?

Looking back and have said, our offense is not as strong as it should be. Yes, this falls inline with the "could have, should have, would have", but here is where our record should have been. Our defense is the only reason our record got to 11-0.

    • Tennessee - 27-24 (W), yes we missed going into OT off a missed Titan's FG. However, the momentum was definitely not in our favor.
    • Baltimore - 28-24 (W), we came close to losing on a last second play. Thanks to a great play by Minkha or we would have lost this game.
    • Dallas - 24-19 (W), back to back games with the identical pass play broken up by a great play by Minkha or we would have lost this game.
Our offense did not do us any favors. Our defense is the only reason we are not 8-5 instead of 11-2. I just hope the "Ladies on Offense" can start pulling their weight and to keep up with the "Men on Defense". (Yes, I'm pulling the "ladies/men" card as my old coach used to do with us.

The record is 11-2. Whatever anybody thinks it 'should be' is irrelevant. It's a form of Power Ranking, and that's fine, but also irrelevent.

Even at 11-0, I didn't think this was the best team in the league. But they can prove me wrong in the playoffs. This ain't college football, where we can reward teams that play 5 games with a chance for a title at the expense of others that played 11.

Hell I predicted 7-9. I was sure Ben wouldn't make it this far. I do believe minus the injuries on D we were a contender for the SB even with this shaky O.

Agreed. With Dupree and Bush, the defense was developing into something special.

In 1976 our D was the only reason we made the play offs. I think it was 2017 we won many games in the last minute, the next year we lost the same amount of games the same way and did not make the p/o's. Our record is what it is, and despite your claim, the O put enough points on the board (sometimes with D and sp teams help) to get the win...it is a TEAM concept, in the end the won/loss record stands by what the team did.

I get what the OP is saying, but you can't go back and what if this and what if that. I mean, what if Homes had one foot out of bounds in our last SB win? It works both ways. If he is right, then what we do in the future, including the playoffs, will show us.

I said this team would end this season 12-4. That is likely going to be the case barring extreme circumstances. Given that info, 11-2 is what our record says we are; justified or not. That figure is set in stone.

12-4 after an 11-0 start leaves something left to be desired I would say.

Before the last 3 games they had scored at least 24 points in every game.

We all would've taken this current record day one had it been presented and wouldve of embraced it in awe based off of the day to day banter. They are where they are and they will go where they go. Currently not trending well but time is in their side to rectify some things. They are in the dance PERIOD at this point. Injuries in their current state cannot be undone but some may be able to make it at the due date. They have a shot if they get the semantics of unfooking themselves in order. Here we go Steelers...

Never stated 12-4 was acceptable either. My best case scenario is still on the table. I believe 13-3 is still doable. That said, the Running Game better find its way and fast.

Yet the Chiefs have two last drive wins and an overtime win they had to tie on their last drive, and no one is saying they should be 8-4. Why is that?

We were thoroughly beaten by the Bills, but we should have won against the WFT. We simply gave that away. Record should be 12-1.

Beat the Bengals... this is doable. 12-2 is good. The Colts defense is good, but I think the Steelers D can shut down Rivers and the Colts offense if we get some players healthy. It's up to the offense to post 20+ points vs. Colts.

11-2... because we are. Also, prior to this losing streak, we had the best record and the best point differential in football...

    11-2

If i recall right, the Ravens should be 13-0 & the Browns should hoist the Lombardi like they should have last year. Coaches keep getting in the way it seems.
