A lot of talk about the Steelers having the easiest schedule.

A lot of talk about the Steelers not beating anyone.

A lot of talk about a lot of things.

    I did a little investigation.

At 11-0, the Steelers are listed near the bottom of the 32 teams for strength of schedule (.457)

At 0-11, the Jets are listed near the top of the 32 teams for strength of schedule (.533)

Keep in mind that the AFC North plays the NFC East. That alone makes all AFC North teams have a very weak strength of schedule. But, humor me for a second. What if the Steelers had the Jets record, what would their strength of schedule be then? Turns out if the Steelers were 0-11, their strength of schedule would be tops in the league (.550). Think about it, because they win, their opponents have a worse strength of schedule.

Next - games against teams with winning records. I looked at the standings. There are currently 15 teams with a winning record who have a combined 50 losses. The Steelers have played 3 of those teams (Ravens twice) and won 4 games. With Bills, Colts, and Browns to go, they'll play nearly half their schedule against winning teams.

I just find the comments that they haven't played anyone yet absurd. Their success makes their opponents failures greater.

So, of those winning teams, they lost 11 times to teams without a winning record. Something the Steelers have done 0 times

The Steelers have played 11 football games. The Steelers have won 11 football games. Each one of the teams the Steelers played, would have an additional win had they not.

As the rubber meets the road, we acknowledge that, while we continue to defend every blade of grass.

And, we're not going to seek comfort in our record. Gotta go 1-0 tomorrow.

Whoever played the Steelers had a spike in their strength of schedule, almost half the league so far (10 teams). Ravens double dipped...lol

Yeah the NFCE is hurting that stat.

This I heard on a sports talk show. The NFL as a whole has gotten weaker over the years and may get even weaker. Parents no longer want their precious little angels screwed up at age 35. They don't want their children playing a sport where your brain can turn to mush at a young age therefor they are steering their little angels into non violent sports. Young men who would have been great at football will have to be great at baseball.

I can see this to some degree especially with the concussion situation.

let the haters hate....………. they don't want to acknowledge that the titans were 5-1 when we beat them...….. we swept the ravens, who also were 5-1 in the first game, and we beat the living bejesus out of the soon to be 9-3 browns...…….. all we do is beat whomever is placed on the field against us

Because the Cardinals stunk it up in the 1970s, I was a quasi Pirates fan because of Roberto Clemente and Willie Stargell. Clemente had such a cool baseball card in 1971, flipping the baseball in his hand. I was already a Steelers fan because of Joe Greene, but the way Clemente dominated the '71 World Series, I liked the Pirates, even though Bob Gibson no-hit them 11-0 that year. I might have remained a Pirates fan, if Whitey Herzog had not come to St. Louis.

That could be the NFL's future. No salary, no pension, no lawsuits, money grubbing falling in line with corporate America. Every team relocating to some off shore tax shelter, just play their games in their sponsored American stadiums built with local tax dollars.

Let's not forget the cardboard fans and fake noise. Saves money on security and concession staffing.

Why are people on here so worried what others say or think? The Steelers are what their record says they are. At the end of the season we'll either win the SB or we won't. The score of our final game this season will tell the whole story.

I just don't get the obsession on here about what others say and think, especially the media.
Who cares what they think. The Steelers will either win the SB and shut those people up or they won't.

I'm all for discussions, but I couldn't give a rats ass what the media thinks of the Steelers.

And so the original point I was trying to get too is what they’re saying is wrong. The Steelers are legit. Whether or not they win the super bowl, they’ve earned their record. Winning cures a lot.
