My apologies

    Apologies for starting the thread about the Pledge. I'm only apologizing for "violating" the MB rules out of respect for TTF and Ray D. I am not apologizing for the content of what I posted or what I believe. In my defense, I wasn't characterizing it as a political thread but more of a Patriotism thread and pointing out an unpatriotic American who happens to be a legislator in PA. It was more celebrating the freedom that we have in this country that even allows us to have a sport like NFL football and to even be Steelers fans. You're right, it doesn't belong here.

    You apologize, but then call her unpatriotic for acting in a manner that is guaranteed by the constitution? A little news flash for you, freedom of speech doesn't just apply to those whom you happen to agree with. THe First Ammendmant applies to everyone including the westborough baptist church, black panther party, KKK etc. We might not like what they have to say, but the constitution guarantees their right to say it and I wouldn't have it any other way.

    I apologized for violating the MB rules. Thanks for educating me about the Constitution though! LOL. Pretty sure you and I are saying the same thing about the Constitution and agree that it should be that way. Now I know why TTF and Ray say to not post anything related to politics on here....

    I have not been so offended, since Diehard, or whoever, put Bruce Arian`s ugly face, on the board, AFTER we let him go...
    I am a big fan of what Ben does on the field, but that has got to be about THE most un-flattering pic of him available, other than when the paparazzi got pix of him at the bars.... Hoping his wife has him straightened out on all that crap, now...

    Yeah. If you think an argument over Bruce Arians, or the latest thing Ben said, or how our defense is faring gets heated, politics and religion would make those seem like love fests. In the end, at least IMO (I can't and won't speak for TTF), I think it's best we leave those topics to other forums. Perhaps if it was a different era, and people could discuss those things rationally, politely, and like gentlemen (or ladies), my opinion would be different. Alas, in today's climate, that is rarer than a Bigfoot sighting. I've seen message boards devoted to anything BUT politics or religion become nothing but flame wars over those subjects. I would just as soon keep that from happening here. All it does is cause acrimony and discord among people who should be (more or less) having fun discussing a common interest. And even the slightest sentence can be misconstrued and twisted until you're left with multitudes putting people on ignore, taking shots at each other over some political comment from another thread during a discussion about something else, and a polar division among the members. That's not what this site is about.

    I completely understand where you were coming from. I just can't allow it to go very far. :)

    Here ya go. Zombie McBeam. It's a little fuzzy, but based on the app and the pic size, it's about the best I could get it. Should look better shrunk down a little. The app cropped it automatically, that's why the sides are cut off.
