Unless they learn to run block, we may be in trouble going forward.

Run blocking? JC Hassenauer had two guys run right past him on a blitz, one after the other and never touched either one.

Doesn't help that the play calling literally tips their hand before the ball is snapped. That quick hitter/wr screen out of the bunch formation they threw it to the same player everytime they lined up in it. Delays and draws were rough because the WR's didn't sell pass, they braced to block before the snap. I know some off the drops killed drives but other times the play design looked perfect for short dump offs to the back and Ben looked it off and went searching downfield. No coincidence that the TD drive Ben started working the underneath zone as the outside guys forced the safties out of the box and into playing honest.

Four straight games without a sack, and that is while constantly throwing. A big part of the reason the run blocking sucks is a lack of commitment or any sort of effort to make it better. So long as Ben is in the shotgun with 3 or 4 wides we will struggle running. It is what it is. Ben is getting his offense and we will go as far as he takes us.

Not saying its easy, but its easier for an OL to look good on protecting a QB when he's getting rid of the ball faster than all NFL QBs so far this year. Even with this, Ben is taking shots if he holds the ball even for a second longer. I have no ideas to help as I hope the coaching will come up with something. Two things come to mind, unpredictable play calling and a vertical passing threat. Otherwise, too many defensive players close to the LOS to block and get lanes open.
