who was the DB that made that horrible play on the 70 yard TD catch?

The DB just whiffed on it when trying to make a tackle

It was Edmunds, I believe. Then Brown absolutely crossed the hell out of Minkah, but it still wasn't his man to start with. Terrell tried to make the splash instead of a sound tackle.

Is his 15 minutes of fame over? Hope not. What was weirder was Watt out covering Brown, not once but twice. The multi talented TJ.

It was Minkah who gave up the TD!!! Poor tackling is his MO...... He is still 10 times the player Edmunds is......

    Bench Edmunds and Start Dangerfield!!!!

watch again......... Minkah laid a goose egg trying to stop him from entering the end zone !!!! If he had just got in front of him and slowed him a bit the trailing VW would have brought him down!!!!

sure Edmunds gave up the catch but the TD was on Minkah!!!

We're talking about when Brown made the catch and Edmunds went diving by him, missing the tackle,,,,, I know Fitz was the one getting turned around.

I was quite specific ..... Minkah was to blame for the TD..... also called for Edmunds Benching.... He got a INT now he’s gambling with no backup support to get another one INSTEAD of making the tackle.......

Who was the underneath DB that cleared out before Edmunds fell. If that dude would have stayed pat he would have broken up the pass.

    Edmunds slipped, it happens.

Minkah showed low effort trying to get the tackle.

I’m really upset he pulled up the last 5 yards where he could have at least attempted a tackle. Unsatisfactory.

Haden had him underneath. I don't know why people are acting like this was expected from Edmunds. He has been our best tackler on defense all year. He made a very bad play but it is absolutely out of character for his play this year. he has been rock solid tackling all year until then.

Minkah has a much higher percentage of missed tackles than Edmunds. After the cowboys game Minkah had a 16 percent miss rate on tackles and Edmunds only a 5.7 miss rate. number of tackles were almost indentical with 33 for Edmunds and 37 for Minkah.

I don't even blame him. Brown is explosive and Minkah had a ton of ground to cover. Brown should beat anyone in that situation.

Stats are just stats and can be very misleading. Edmunds makes most of his tackle close to the LOS in run support but takes very poor angles in the open field.
Minkah is mostly in the open field with no support a much tougher situation to have high tackle stats.

Brown beats just about anybody running 1 on 1 in an open field.

If Edmunds made the tackle right after the catch we wouldn't even be talking about this, I blame Edmunds.

Terrell attempted to make the pick. The issue was his angle that he attempted to do so. By the time he realized his angle was incorrect, it was too late for him to slow down as he was attempting to take that potential pick into a pick six.

Regardless, Terrell has to do better if he wants to generate turnovers. Yes, he now has a feel for making splash plays. Now, he must learn how to do so in other ways.

I suspect that play was what Tomlin was mostly thinking about when he made his "junior varsity" post game comment about the team performance.

That comical play on defense and dropping passes by our receivers had a big affect on the final score.

Hollywood can do that. It was unfortunate but in a phone booth Brown can move

It looked just like AB, which is why the Ratbirds got him.
Once he got behind the zone, No one’s going to get him.

AB or Hollywood should be in Black n Gold.

I just don't know how you expect him to make that tackle against a shifty guy with that much room to make moves. The play was blown when Edmunds made a risky play instead of going for the tackle. He needed to have better game awareness. Make the tackle and no real harm done.

Tough game for Edmunds. Pretty sure it was him who took a poor angle on RG’s long run too.

But overall, I think he’s been much better this season.

Actually it is a surprise. He’s been playing very well. He gambled and lost. Hopefully he learned from it and it won’t happen again
