Well he seems to be average lately so I hope that the D doesn't make him look like Joe Montana in his prime.
The offense should be able to outscore the Titans.........I hope!

The problem with playing Hasselbeck is he is very much in the mold of a Kurt Warner or Tom Brady only to a lesser degree. He is most adept at dumping the ball off before the pressure can get to him. So the key to this game is how to bring pressure while covering the short check down routes and forcing him to hold onto the ball longer to see if the middle or deep routes come open thus allowing the pressure to get to him. He has been in a west coast style offense for so long he can dink and dunk his way down the field. I think if they can maintain their responsibilities and not get over aggressive and abandon their man, the defense could force Hasselbeck's hand.

I'm not really worried about him. I think we've played him what...twice in the last 5 years and won by a large margin both times. I do have the concerns you'd expect on a short week with a defense that has key pieces missing or questionable, and a secondary that struggles to keep opponents from coming back from the dead though. On paper this shouldn't be a close game, but I'm not confident in a complete blowout Thursday. I'd love to see one though of course. :D

I fear this could be a trap game for us. I think Matt Hasselbeck still carries a grudge against us from our Super Bowl victory. Lesser teams on the road worry me due to our tendency to play down to the competition. I also cringe when non-elite QBs seem to play elite against our bend but don't break secondary. See Carson Palmer, Bruce Gradowski, Colt McCoy. The Titans have looked awful thus far. I loathe playing teams in desperation mode. I will be sorely disappointed and angry with a loss but not surprised. Here's hoping Silverback goes into beast mode.

a trap game? the Steelers are 2-2 and just barely at that. they cant afford any trap games.

they are in chase mode to try and catch the Ravens and Bengals.

Locker was chosen over Matt, don't worry about Matt.

I still hear him time to time and the Seahawk fans whine about the super bowl loss.

they have to stop CJ first. if they let him get on track, MH will use him to his advantadge and keep us off balance. he's a vet qb capable of doing damage against us. we must shut down the run fiirst and make him one dimensional.

CJ really hasn't shown much lately to get worried about tbh. Obviously he's shown in the past that he CAN do damage but honestly i'm not too worried about him. Hope i'm right :herewego:
