Defensive Depth

Does this 2020 version of the Steeler's have the best defensive depth they have ever had. The front seven even the backups look like they belong in the NFL. They have LB's in waiting at least on the outside.
At corner we have Sutton getting some snaps and Layne seeing the field a bit.
Over all I see our defensive depth this year as a real strength and it looks good for the future as we can't afford to keep everyone.

 

I think the Steelers have done an awesome job at developing the young guys. I also feel that the attitude of MT, going through what he did last year, has rubbed of on the whole team.

We also do great in the draft, for the most part. I remember a lot of ppl didn’t like the Highsmith pick...But that pick has might have made it easier to let Bud go at the season end..

 

They are still good for now but we will soon have to start replacing some studs on the defensive line.

 

Certainly better than they’ve had recently.

Remember, Cam was drafted in the 1st round and sat on the bench. Defense 2008-2010 was stout.

 

It took quite a few years to rebuild this defense. They do have some depth, players stepping in and getting some quality snaps.

He will be starting opposite Watt next season.

 

I hate to see Bud leave....

 

Only depth I'm worried about on defense is NT and safety..... We're stacked everywhere else
