How much longer before we start spreading some of the Polamalu injury heat Woodley's way for his constant nagging hammy issues? Thankfully we have Harrison at least back on the field, even if he isn't 100%. I think with him out there Worilds can adequately fill in for Woodley, and if Timmons can build of his recent performance we can definitely make the Titans one-dimensional.

So annoying that we can't get these guys on the field at the same time. Knew with the short week though that they would never play this game. On the plus side, it gives them an extended time before the following game to get healthy.

And on paper we shouldn't really need Woodley against this team, but crazy things are known to happen in this league.

How much time is needed to heal a calf injury?
Troy is starting to look like a Deuce 2012 version.

The way he reacted on the play he went out, I thought he tore his achilles in half!

Yeah, in the presser earlier Coach T said Harrison "experienced minor swelling, but is OK".

I'm thinking that Worilds and Timmons are getting more reps with the starters, and it's showing.

Well we are so used to Troy being out... you would think we would have a solid solution by now, but... we don't. Apparently this front office just doesn't find defensive secondary to be that important... especially in today's NFL.

I have been disappointed with Woodley's performance as of late. He just seems slow, out of shape and weak. Hes had 2 sacks and 9 tackles and just has not been impressive. Granted, having Harrison out really allowed O-lines to focus on Woodley but I am actually turning this one into a positive and being excited to see what our 2nd round pick Worilds can do with more time.

Anyone know how Troy got injured? I have heard it was in practice before the Denver game. What is a "strained calf" anyway, if they are being honest with the injury report in the first place. I "popped" a tendon in my calf a couple of years ago, and certainly was never a highly honed athlete, but it bothered me for months. I was warmed up, loose, and it "popped" when I was walking to pick up a ball. I asked my doc about prevention, and he basically said "stuff happens - there isn't much you can do to prevent it or speed up the healing". Not sure if that is what Troy has, but the way he reacted on Sunday is sure the way I felt.

Don't forget we tend to play down to our competitions level. Have been for years.

There are different muscles that make up the calf. 2 years ago I strained my soleus, which is a long thin muscle that extends from the back of the knee down to the achilles...under the main gastroc muscle. When it happened I was jogging and it felt like a wicked charlie horse that wouldn't let up. I could barely walk. I fought that thing for months. I would start to feel good, go for a jog and wham it would fly back in. I finally just stopped running for probably 3 months and then eased back into it when I started again.
I don't know exactly what is going on with Troys calf and how bad it really is right now. But I can tell you mine was deemed a mild strain and it was painful and difficult to get past. I don't expect to see a difference making Troy this year regardless of if/when he does make it back to the field. Maybe not season ending like put him on IR type of deal...but this has killed any hopes of the Troy we once knew and loved.

Is still the same injury from the Bengals game from Dec. 2010? I was at that game and I know he got hurt during his pick 6...
