any free agent safety who is better than Mundy?

there has to be one out there. Is Chris Hope still around. He might be old but anybody is better than Mundy...even my mom might be better than mundy!

 

we have one sitting on the bench in golden. i haven't heard what the injury is on cromartie-smith, so we don't even have one on the PS healthy. will allen was hurt last week, but he shouldn't even be here. mundy was robbed on two good hits to seperate the ball from the receiver.

Gotta agree as that guy doesn't need to be a starter and he will cost us another game in the future if he plays since 43 will be out for a few games

 

The off season is miles away.

Anything can happen. Someone better than Mundy will be available.

I like to see what Golden could do, but he was inactive yesterday.

Mundy is a total liability to the team. He Sucks!! They better get somebody or we will be in trouble. I'd like to see what Golden can do. Give the young guy a chance and see where it leads. I think Troy is done. He is injury prone and I don't think he has the desire to play the game anymore!

 

Well I´m free. I don´t think I could do any worse than Mundy. And I would be considerably cheaper.

We drafted him in 08 in the 6th round, he was on the PS 1 season, he was cut a time or two but resigned, he has good size 6-1 209, but his head space is his main problem, will he improve or not is the question, he was fined 10K for that hit in the raider game, but is looking at a 21K fine for this latest H2H penalty, evidently he is all they have to put on the field right now so we may as well get used to it, he reminds me a lot of William Gay who never did get it...

 

Agree. Mundy's problem is head space and the indiscipline it creates.

I don't see why we can't give Golden a try.

maybe someone knows better about these players , btw mundy is not the answer and if troy is out for a while (calf is bad) we need to do some movement at least look around , i would cut will allen and bring someone

no he is better then anthony smith and he doesnt run his mouth.

 

Similar in the sense that when he first arrived he played hard and with attitude in preseason, which got people excited, and then translated that into penalties and biting on plays when the regular season started.

JAD - I guess I know as much as most on Golden. He is in the mould of Smith and Mundy (plays with spirit, but untempered spirit leads to risky play), but he did nothing in preseason to suggest he was a disaster. Why not give him the shot, given that Mundy is messing alot of things up right now?

 

i think golden has to put some weight before to be ready , seems very skinny for a safety
i don't know why will allen is still on the team when can't be used outside special team , wouldn't be better have a young ss that can play special team and maybe grow as a future starter

 

Give Golden a chance or sign someone. They need to do something. If something happens to Clark we will really be in trouble.

then there are some young ps guy , if troy is out for a while i would take a look at someone
