You tend to present your posts as if you are the definitive answer and we should all feel blessed that you have taken the time to educate us.

But you are wrong ............and the entire football world knows that a run game is important in the late season. There is truth to the concept that you gameplan around the opposing team and you take what they give you. There is also truth to the notion that we do not have a solid running game.

 

I want no part of kc.. We're pretty similar to them except for the run game

 

So, being 9-0 for the first and only time in franchise history is part of a complete and total failure? OK, got it.

 

I like our defensive play makers better than theirs.

But yeah, run game is a weakness.

 

For me, I guess it de[ends on how it all plays out.

If we lose to a team that plays the perfect game that day that's one thing, if we lose for the umpteenth time by being out-coached, I agree that it would be complete failure.

That being said, I see a few things that look different in Tomlin's approach and attitude this year!

 

To me the barometer of whether or not our offense is doing what they should is pts per game and our record. I am sure we can improve here and there but so far if I was the OC I'd ask what else can we do but be perfect? I don't buy the notion of wait until KC or any other team and we'll be in trouble because until they play us they are not better than us. On to the Jags.

PS: I picked the Jags game as our first loss a while ago because of history and playing down to the competition. Not so sure right now if that is still true since we are beating all who we face both good and bad teams and both home and away.

Denver: 101 (destroyed them by almost 30 pts)
Jets: 50
Panthers: 36

Shouldn't the narrative hold true for the Chiefs if it does for the Steelers?

 

Just to go a little further and a weaker argument, KC has about a hundred more rushing yards than the Steelers. Mahomes has 171 of that. From a running back perspective we out-gain them.

As I said, weaker argument because Mahomes' legs are one of his strengths and contribute a great deal with the play breaks down.

 

Feel ya...They won a a SB when our QB was injured. I like Ben vs thier defence vs Mahomes vs ours.

This team should not fear KC. I certainly don't
