I think I would have kicked the field goal on 3rd down just in case. 14 seconds and 2 chances in the rain kind of made sense. We won anyway so it is a moot point :herewego:

I think if you miss a field goal regardless of the down, the other team gets it. I could be wrong on that though

I was thinking the should have kicked in on 3rd down too in case there was a bad snap and they would have had another shot at it.

I personally think we should have been more aggressive and go for the TD, but that's just me.

If you get the kick off you are correct. If the snap is fumbled you get your next down.

In an ugly game like that and being 1-2 ,,kick the field goal we only need 1 more point than the other team, I couldn't watch the 3 final runs I could picture Redman or Mendy trying to fight for more yards then lose the ball.

I was nervous about putting the win or loss on the foot of Suisham. He came through this time, but I have no fingernails left because of it.

yes if you kick it and miss the other team gets the ball.... but what they are saying is if you snap it on 3rd down and screw up the snap you can just fall on it .. take the sack or lass of yards and kick again from there

I kind of felt the same way, but they were going for the win, not the TD, so I'm glad they did what they did. A touchdown would have felt nice, but there's nothing worse than trying to go for more than you need and not getting it, or throwing a pick or having a fumble and losing because of it.

He has been playing great this year (8 for 8) but man I still get so nervous when he comes out for a field goal. I think maybe when he is 30 for 30 I'll be ok with him kicking our FG's! LOL

I have Heath Miller on my FF Team so arguably they should have thrown the ball to him in the endzone!

Yup, I thought the run on 3rd down was pointless. We gained about a yard and just risked fumbling (and we were already dead center of the field).

With it raining like it was a bad snap would not be that uncommon.

    BUT oh well.
