Minkah was trash most of the game, but he made the game winning play.

Tough game, but that running game is just a nitemare. Each quarter Balt made adjustments and just kept coming from different angles. With Tyson out it also made the middle that more pliable. Not making excuses, but they are a very good team. The best playing team did not won today...but the W still counts.

Difference is Minkah has the potential to be great and we have seen it. Edmunds, if I was an opposing QB 3rd long, whomever he was covering would be getting The ball. Enough said.

True but we had to account for Jackson too. Hopefully, we can work that chit out better next time.

A mobile QB has always been the Steelers Defense’s Krytonite. It goes back to Tebow. Heck, even RG3 gave our starting D griefs last year.

I don't know how any receiver can be so so so open in the middle of the field so so so many times. No safety within 20 yards that's how open.

It's an age (multiple decades) old question hahahahaha even with the old studs 3rd and longs seemed to squeek through quite a bit... Right up the damn seem.

Minkah didn't have a great day but he shut the game down at the end and closed out the victory.

    I'll take it.

Edmunds needs to be replaced at some point.

I've been a defender of Minkah but his last couple games have been riddled with mistakes that a veteran should never make. He's good playing CF but he's really having problems in coverage and playing up. If he's not getting penalties he's taking bad angles or out of position. That was something he didn't do last season so I'm puzzled. I get the feeling that his head got a little too big and he decided to take the offseason - off. He had a huge play at the end and timed that perfectly so there's that. Edmunds got beaten badly today as well so I'm starting to get worried. If our pass rush doesn't work our secondary is in trouble.

Minka had some key stops in the run game toady and some solid tackles. Edmunds really blew the coverage on that long 3rd down. I don't know why he decided to read and go for the pump fake. All he had to do was carry his guy and if he broke out make a tackle on the backend. It was probably some type of hybrid zone/man coverage and he blew it.

situational football! They had no time outs and had to drive the field!

I crashed hard and missed the first three Quarters I am afraid.

Nothing that was devastating but in coverage he was late to react. Same goes on a couple of runs. I'll have to re-watch as I'm sure some blame goes to the ILBs but just to the eye Minkah didnt have a great game.

Edmunds seems like a great athlete who would be very good at badminton.

Our safeties did not play well in some glaring situations, notably on 2nd and 3rd and long in the 2nd half. However, some of that was likely due to the running threats of Jackson and eyes going to Jackson once he started moving and not the assigned receiver. Indeed, as Romo pointed out, had Jackson scrambled on the last play he would have put a lot more pressure on the secondary as their eyes would have moved.
But on the very last play of the game, which happened to win the game, Minkah read Jackson like a book and broke on the ball and broke up the pass.
