You could mirror your phone to your tv screen. Of course, that is if you have a smart tv. I recently learned of this sorcery and you wont tell any diff.

You get my vote right now!! I saw that and got so pissed off. My 78 year old sister can't handle the night games. She was so happy when I told her we are 1:00 Sunday. I saw that title and got ready to give her bad news.

I don't know if I can do that from NFL.com or NFL app and I have a Google Chromecast.... no subscription of any kind with NFL. NFL.com/app is where I usually watch games from when I can't watch them on Hulu live.

 

I'll try it. I have the casting feature for different TV channel apps, etc. Not sure about NFL app.

I've tried the NFL app with mirroring and it gets blocked. Not sure why they allow streaming on your phone but won't cast it to your tv.

 

With my Chromecast... certain apps have an icon I can click on to cast to TV. Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, CBS All Access, etc... all have a casting option, but I pay for those services. Amazon Prime Video is the only paid service that I couldn't cast with... but they are competitors with Google, so go figure. Pretty sure I don't have the option to cast with NFL app... but I'll keep trying.

 

There is a site called vipleague. Go there and choose American Football. Then find your game. A list of available streams for that game will come up. Usually the first one works for me. Choose your stream. You will be able to cast it from your phone as vipleague is not an NFL app.

i have used this for every game that has not been on locally, and I havent missed a game yet. Some of the streams will have some annoying popups. The quality of some streams are better than others. But well worth it to be able to see the game every week.
