Point of order - Mojave Desert is in California and the Peter Paul and Mary response was a joke (you have heard of them right?). And yes, I and many others know where Wm and Mary is and the name is often made fun of. Carry on my friend. Just so you know we're cool - "" ;)

The thread is about where the Steelers are ranked in ESPN's power ranking, but we're not allowed to talk about the legitimacy power rankings?

Maybe it was a cheap shot at Haley, idk. Personally I don't think Tomlin had much input on the killer B offense. I don't think he wants much input on the offense in general. Just who is out on the field & overturning when his gut talks to him. He looks like his mentor Dungy to me. Tony handed the offense over to Peyton. With a lesser qb we could see more involvement from Tomlin.

Wasn't it Haley's responsibility to have a play ready? Tomlin has no problem delegating responsibilities. That incident might be part of the reason that Haley was not retained. Clashing egos n'at.

Agree about Ben, not knowing what to do is consistent with his personality. Thinks it wasn't his fault.

The thread is about making a case for being the second best team in the NFL. I should know. I started it.

And you're allowed to talk about what I say you can talk about. The sooner you realize that, the sooner I'll be happy with you. :hehehe:

The only Power Rankings that matter is the final one after the Super Bowl.

Let the other teams have the talk and the target. I think it will only motivate this years team even more.

    She sounds brilliant. :drinks:

Had a funny, and terrifying, thought. What if our wives got together and exchanged stories? Can you imagine the eye-rolling and facepalming that would go on?:facepalm:

I'd put the Steelers as an overwhelming #1 if they were able to put together a 2nd half as well as the first half before the INT gift. The bottom line though is they fell apart completely to Tennessee's halftime adjustments and were never able to get much going. When they did finally move the ball in the 2nd half Ben started forcing plays thru the air instead of grinding out yards on the ground. We all know this is Bens offense now and he's calling nearly all the plays himself but Fitchner and Tomlin need to reel him in with the game in hand instead of letting him throw 49 times escaping with a lucky missed FG victory.

To me, KC would be #1 and Seattle #2 just because QB play and coaching. Steelers #3 but a good showing this week with mistakes corrected and they could easily be back in the #1 spot.

Other than my irrelevant thoughts, Power Rankings overall are meaningless.

The only #1 spot I care about has a big silver shiny trophy along with a bunch of big diamond rings.

There is no room for second place. There is only one place in my game, and that's first place. I have finished second twice in my time at Green Bay, and I don't ever want to finish second again. There is a second place bowl game, but it is a game for losers played by losers. It is and always has been an American zeal to be first in anything we do, and to win, and to win, and to win.

Magazines under the mattress like a hotel?

Although, maybe I wasn’t staying in good hotels at that stage of my career.

I would still put both KC and Baltimore ahead of us. We can prove one of those theories wrong on Sunday.....

You guys should have been number one for at least two straight weeks. Your a more complete team then Tennessee, KC etc.

I'm confused by this. But I won't argue with a Ravens fan in Pittsburgh. You've got enough to deal with on your own. :drinks:

I believe the Ravens, Chiefs and Steelers will flip flop in the Power Rankings over next 10 weeks.
