There was no shortage of critics on this board when the D was struggling. Where have you all gone? It's tough to even find a post here with his name at this point. The fact that the secondary, with mostly the same players, has vastly improved is a sign of a well prepared and coached defense.

Yes Butler deserves a ton of credit. Defense is playing very well.

Butler deserved every bit of that criticism. His critics haven't gone away, but the entire coaching staff is doing a better job this season. That Butler seems to be doing a better job this season doesn't change the fact that he has been a terrible defensive coordinator for years.

He's just winning with Miami's players.

I would agree for the most part. For me though, Keith Butler's ability to generate heat has never been in question. His lackluster coaching in the back end has been a subject of discussion up until 2019. Now that he has his guy in the back end in Minkah, Butler can do just about whatever he wants calling the Defense.

I understand this is going to sound cruel but this needs to be said about this Defense. The Defense can afford to lose Devin Bush Jr. as there is a committee approach the team seemingly has at its disposal now. Losing Minkah would be cataclysmic as there is no failsafe plan for him.

    I don’t know.

Can’t stand the one play 70+ yard TD.

Or the 70+ yard long drive that we can see will result in a TD.
This has been occurring for some years now.

Let the guy use One timeout per game for the Defense to gather itself.
