Caught a tweet from Steeler Depot that Harrison said in the locker room today " Yeah definately, I'll be ready for Sunday"

    Great news

It's good news, BUT, he hasnt started since last year, and his knee hasnt been tested against a big tackle in so long, he may not make it through 1 quarter, either way, he has a ton of rust to drop in this game because he didnt even have a training camp, so if he is effective in his comeback and looks solid, then thats good and I would be totaly surprised with all the rust he has, but if he isnt, we wont be any better off than we we're without him...

I don't think he'l be rusty. He'll be fine as long as his knee holds up.

Maybe you didnt know it, but under the new CBA there is no practicing in pads, so tell me all about Harrisons contact prior to starting Sunday? Heres how many times teams are allowed to practice in pads during this season...

The parties have agreed that, during the 17-week regular season, teams will conduct only 14 practices in pads.

Let’s repeat that. During the 17-week regular season, teams will have a maximum of only 14 padded practices.

More specifically, teams can have 11 padded practices during the first 11 weeks of the season, with two padded practices permitted in a given week only once. Then, for the final six weeks of the season, a total of three padded practices may be conducted.

Also, teams will be permitted to have one practice in pads per week during the postseason.

I'm just giving you the business but I'm sure he gave it a pretty good work out. I don't recall exactly but weren't fully padded practices something that wasn't employed regularly anyway? They never practiced every day in pads did they? I would think there would be one a week, to run through everything at full speed but not many more then that. In fact, I kind of thought it was sometimes done as a punishment type thing, like after a bad loss.

Anyway, it's the first time JH has practiced 2 days in a row, which is a positive and they did say full practice, so maybe it was in pads, we don't know.

Actually before the agreement, Pittsbugh would routinely practice in pads more than that and would do extra days in pads when Cowher or Tomlin felt they needed it. They seemed to always respond well when they did that.
