Come on guys...... Tomlin is simply saying that the offense is so good that we will not see another 4th down this season

 

There used to be a great punter that Miami had, Reggie Roby or something like that. Punting yards net what is valuable. Kick it both high AND deep and the recipient is surrounded by the time he catches it, no run back. Wish we had a guy like that.

I read that Waitman has a strong leg, he could be a improvement over Colquitt.

Not sure I could even give less of a f#$k about this. A high school soccer player could do what colquitt has done.

 

As others have said I just do not get the riming of the move. Unless Waitman has been doing the placeholding in practice all week (and has it down), it just seems dicey to bring in someone else (even Berry) on such short notice.

 

Agreed. Maybe I misunderstood the rules. If so, I was wrong earlier, but I thought Berry would have to wait until next week to be eligible to play.

I would rather just try Waitman for a week. I get it that its a big game and thats not the place to "try things out", but we already know that Berry is hot garbage. At least see if the kid is better than hot garbage. If he isnt, then we can sign hot garbage off the street bc no one is every even gonna think about signing Berry aside from us.

May be wrong, but signing a FA off the street has a longer time period than on just released from a Team. One is 5 days, this (if I heard the radio right the other day) is 14 days. If so Berry could not suit up until the Dallas game (assuming they sign him before Sunday).

Hiring a guy that only punts 2.1 yds less than the previous guy is a pretty dumb move?? Exaggerrate much??

 

Berry cost 1.8 mil. this year before being cut. He should be cheaper now. He had 375,000 in dead money counted against us. Still cheaper on the season. Maybe this had something to do with it since we kept waitmen on the PS for some reason.

 

If he signs for the vet minimum it’ll probably be a wash taking into account Colquits salary.
