"You want to surround yourself with good people, Godly people. When I look at Warren Sapp, I can't go to him and talk about finances because he filed for bankruptcy. I can't go to him and talk about my marriage because he filed for divorce. I can't go to him and talk to about being a great father when one day I have children because he's not active in his children's life. So the lesson we should all learn here is surround yourself with good people and be careful who you take counsel from. I'm not saying he's been there on my side giving me counsel, but that's not a guy that I can go to.

Good for Brandon. All that and he didn't even open up the can of worms that Sapp doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to football, either. I was definitely not a fan of Marshall's, but I'm a lot closer now.

That was a great quote, and something Sapp should think about. If he hadn't been a great football player he'd just be a loudmouth douchebag that nobody likes, which is what he is but gets away with it because he played football.

 

Marshall has now apologized to Sapp apparently.

 

Yeah. He can say he's sorry but he CAN'T make what he said untrue.

 

Apparently his apology wasn't for what he said, only for saying it publicly. Marshall said he meant every word, but should have kept it private:
