It's starting to feel like football. There's a nip in the air. Nothing like having to put on long sleeves and start complaining about raking leaves to get you amped up for Steeler football. And once the leaves are gone and the cold sets in, that first game in the snow is right around the corner.

Tomlin usually has this team playing good ball in October. 3-0 right now should turn into a nice record come November...if we're the team that many of us hope we are. We'll have a good picture of who/what this team is at that point.

Here's to the Steelers being the team we want them to be, and for a productive season! :drinks:

Football feels lackluster to me. Like it’s half assed, rushed, players look somewhat disinterested and that’s besides the Covid going on lol. With that said I’m bored and I still watch

My son asked me to unlock sandbox mode on his Jurassic World game which involves playing through the whole game so I have been doing that to pass the time. It's relaxing and I can have the T-rex eat goats I've named Brady.

I am really starting to dislike the fake fan noise. It will be interesting to have steelers fans onsite

All sports are tough for me due to crazy times. I'm not an NBA fan but watching because of ties to Lakers HC. Watching BB in normal times is tough enough for me but last night was a struggle. Just so damn strange without fans going crazy.

I think the Steelers will have real humans at the game Sunday. Not sure how many. Will be really pissed if I see too much green in the stands.

Makes you wonder if "fake fan" noise comes from some of the posters around here? Just saying. ;)

I agree. Well... Football-esque where I am at. That Autumn Chill in Vancouver is already making its way here. Not all at once but it is subtle; football like.

Check out the WWE on Friday night. It is very strange with the "wrestlers" doing their thing in a studio with a bunch of screens for an audience with people watching online. Seems like some weird futuristic crap.

Back in the 60’s when Bruno Sanmartino was trying to get the WWE going, they wrestled in Pittsburgh Somewhere and broadcast on channel 11. There would be about 20 people in the crowd. They would make them all sit together and take close up shots. Every once in a while you could see the rest of the place was empty.

For you old timers, do you remember “Ringside Rosie”?

I was going to mention Rosie. She took it to the Animal Steel whenever he pulled a fast one of Bruno and Dominick D, Bill Cardill announcing, we were in heaven LOL.

We had “Wrestling at the Chase” late 70’s early 80’s in St. Louis.

I worked with Jumping Johnny Defazio at J&L Steel. Although, he didn’t know me from a bag of beans.

I was just in Seattle 5 days ago. Compared to San Diego, it was "fall-like"

It was really a fun and interesting time. It was regional in that most every city had its version of a local wrestling show with local stars, these guys also flew to those cities and had huge followings. I remember buying the national rags and talking with my friends who was the best and blah blah. Of course Bruno was my fave, but always had a soft spot for Dominick Dibuccci, still living at 88 and wrestled his last match at 80!

The 'burgh was a great sports location in the70's, yea it was fake, but still added to the thrill of being a sports nut kid in that era.

    :(

Truly sad to hear of it then. Hopefully a cure can be found in time. If that is not the case, then hopefully COVID-19 will have run its devastating course after 2020.

I was going to say I liked batman. George the animal chewing on the turn buckle. LOL. Chiller theater was an every week event. We would all gather at a friend's house and watch. We could stay out until the second one was over. Usually didn't make it threw before we got too sleepy.
