You’re not thinking deviously enough to get Bill’s plan. Here’s what’s going to happen:
    1. Another chip will fall to get the game postponed to another week, not just Monday or Tuesday
    2. At some point one of the many players for other teams or officials (or Chiefs’ trainer or equipment guy) on the Patriots “under the table” payroll will find a way to injure Mahomes for a few weeks and make it look accidental.
    3. With Mahomes shelved, amazingly the next opponents for both the Chiefs and Patriots will have outbreaks.
    4. With the Chiefs’ and Pats’ schedules both cleared for a week, Rog swoops in and has the Pats and Chiefs play while Mahomes is shelved.

If step 2 fails, Bill has Tonya Harding’s ex hubby on the payroll.

    Send in Tonya Harding!

You forgot one possibility. As soon as is convenient, the league will change their stance and the Chiefs will be made to forfeit to the Patriots.

What amazes me is that this is a surprise to some. Look at all the players/coaches now getting it. Newton from the Cheats now. Forfeit? They better get this thing under control or the season will be in jeopardy, like I mentioned in a thread early on. Doesn't bod well for a continuation going forward if they can't get a handle on it. Maybe they will start playing double headers :lolol:

    An interesting sideline.

It was pointed out last week that the paper masks everyone is wearing are not effective against the smoke particles from the California wildfires.

It was then pointed out that COVID particles are infinitely smaller than smoke particles.

I'm not sure what type of article you're referring to, but it misses a critical point. COVID particles travel on respiratory droplets aerosols expelled by coughs, sneezes, yelling, sneezing, talking, etc. Droplets are generally contained when the expeller has a mask on. They're not 100% effective because some COVID particles will also be in aerosols expelled by the wearer, but the quantity and distance matter.

I'm just repeating what I heard/read. For now, there are points being missed all over the place. Until the facts are no longer being held for political ransom we are not likely to truly know what the truth is.

And they faked it with their starting quarterback not some special teams guy or backup. Brilliant theory.

No way man. 18 positives now and growing. Every other team has had one here and there not 18. But the Titans did everything right. Some boogeyman bus driver gave it to them and spread it around their organization. Obviously the Steelers should be penalized for this. They need to quit being babies and be punished for the Titans negligence. (Deleted)

Enough with making things personal. I'm not singling out SDOT. Just using this post as the latest example. Many of you are taking it beyond playful, good natured ribbing.

Total BS. Yes forfeit needed. You can't punish Steelers for Titans mistakes. Now Steelers have to play 14 weeks in a row.

This isn’t the first time the Steelers had a bye this early in the season. Actually on two of those occasions they made the Super Bowl that season. Plus we will play 13 in a row not 14.

An article just dropped on my feed saying two more titans tested positive. They had expected to open their facilities today and now they can't. Their Bill's game is now in jeopardy.

The article also quotes (paraphrased?) commish saying teams not following protocol could be forced to forfeit if they impact scheduling.

We have a weak owner and fanbase that rolls over to whatever Goodell says.

If the Titans have to forfeit this week then it should also be a forfeit against the Steelers and the Steelers should have their original bye week reinstated!

That ship has already sailed because our weak fanbase caved. "last time the Steelers had a bye this early" Super Bowl blah blah

Shorten the season is still on the table as well as a cancellation. Has any other league forfeited games?
