All running teams, no backups yet. Throw in primetime starts & we might not need Minkah.

With the rule changes in the NFL favoring the offense the 70's defense would never have been so strong and I'm convinced Lambert would have ate a ref for lunch.

Bradshaw would throw for under 200 yards, RB's grind it out and our D smoked opposing offence. That is what I loved but alas I am a minority and most fans of the NFL want 48-42 games.

Most fans of the NFL use Twitter to decide how they feel about everything, play Candy Crush instead of finding a way to have fun outside, and would be mortified by a team so physical as the 70 Steelers.

Didn't Minkah play in 7 of those games last season? Did you really think the Steelers D was going to duplicate the turnovers they produced last season...

Where did Minkah go? Has he been getting torched for Td's left and right that I'm unaware of, or has he only given up a couple passes so far this season? If you want him to get turnovers, he has to gamble. Gambling means being out of position when he guesses wrong. I haven't seen it be a problem yet. (I don't think he's been given the liberties he was last season either)

One of the most exciting games I remember was against Houston in 1980. Final score was 6-0 Houston. 4 quarters of smash mouth football.

Not just turnovers, help for the CBs on deep passes would be nice .

I didn't expect them to get 38 turnovers like last season, I said earlier maybe high twenties is reasonable.

If I was going to complain about one of the Steelers safeties it wouldn't be Minkah, but I have blinders on when it comes to him. He got burnt on occasion in Miami too, but his overall performance makes up for it.

The occasional splash play isn't too much to ask, last season we got spoiled by his play I guess.

It's early yet. I never rely on turnovers to happen in order to win games, but it sure is nice when they do.
