I think Roonatic may be spot on saying this is just the tip of the iceberg. This is a bit depressing. I know in the grand scheme of life sports is very minor but I look so forward to it and all the bull**** with friends after games.

The only thing I worry about moving the Titans game to the end of year ... you would have to play them and then start the playoffs probably the week after.

It certainly sucks losing a mid season bye which in my opinion all these years as a fan I have always wanted a league wide mid season bye... I mean tactically it's fair and just across the board. This year is wonkey and so shall be this season. It's only going to get more interesting going forward.

Where are you reading that the Steelers are giving up there bye week in Week 8? I am just reading that the game will occur later; nothing about it moving to week 8. Titans have a game in week 8, as their bye week is week 7.

The real mess will be when division games are affected and say the steelers and ravens games are both cancelled, allowing Cincy to win the division by default lol. I actually think this would be hilarious, a Jets Giants SB and the Steelers are awarded the top pick in the draft. Would this finally get the front office attention..doubt it.

 

It would be nice if you're right...I just looked up the NFL schedule for week 8 and the Steelers are not on it, but it also says the titans-steelers game has yet to be rescheduled ...so I think the general thought is that it will be 13 straight weeks of football. I'm a little concerned if this happens to the Steelers a second time

A family of diehard Stiller fans I know, don't watch the games now, they used to run a fantasy league I played in for 15 yrs, they stopped. The dad is ex-Marine, the mom's granddad was a POW in WWII. Their actions shocked me too. But the politics of the NFL is POing a very loyal segment of the fan base. I don't know that this is fatal, but crap on your paying customers at your own peril.

You'd think the billionaires that own these teams would understand this, and I expect they do. Maybe they don't know what to do. But they're playing with fire, and they better figure it out,
