    You asked and got my attention piqued.
    NFL did not start playing until 1920, so the point is moot.
    Baseball played. Every picture I've seen has everyone in the stands, the players, and the umpires wearing masks. Still, half a dozen players, a couple of umpires, and some others involved in the sport (sportswriters, etc..) died of the Spanish Flu. One difference between the two diseases was a much shorter "asymptomatic" period for the Spanish flu. A person was showing symptoms within hours of being exposed, not days, weeks, or forever.

    I hope this isn't true simply because it is likely that this won't be the last incident and the next thing you know, the "bye" schedule will be a train wreck.

    But if we're going to be then let's be completely honest. Politics has entered into a lot of our lives and it is human nature that it will enter into this forum. If you care to look, the "biased" discussions in this forum have been allowed to "lean" pretty far in one direction....but when an opposing comment is made, all of a sudden "STOP THE POLITICAL STUFF".

    Proving that truly unbiased discussion is virtually impossible these days.

    I can't speak for the rest of the mods, but I was giving a lot of slack in the beginning. I only deleted posts that were obviously only attacks and not trying to make a cogent point. That was a mistake. Now, I see an obviously loaded political comment, I delete it. IDGAF which side they're on. Yeah, it's sometimes very hard to separate politics from certain topics. But if we don't try, then it quickly goes downhill. There's far too much tribalism and division in the country right now (not assigning blame. Just a fact). No need for it in a football forum. Well, politics or religion anyway. Have at it with sports arguments.

    Some of you Twitterites should have had at least three or four definitive answers to this by now?

    The league has to have some sort of stance on this? Wasn't there a game that was in jeopardy of not being played last week?

    Once again, if this is a move to Monday or Tuesday, I get it.

    If this is an outright postponement to a different week, then shut the league down now because the NFL obviously didn't have a plan in place.

    Damn. Most of us will have to listen on SiriusXM or some kind of Russian illegal streaming. I don't see CBS disrupting their regular scheduled programming for an NFL game. NFL network may pick it up.

    I've streamed 2 out of the 3 games so far, so I'm not worried about it, but I'm sure one of the networks will pick it up.
