    Crap crap crap

can’t say it’s surprising though. It was just a matter of time. The only way they could have pulled this season off would be to follow the nba’s lead.

I understand your point but the players knew what they signed up for by agreeing to play and not opting out. If you cancel one game and mess up a few teams schedules you are gonna have to do it again if this happens later in the year. I’ll say it again it’s the Titans issue and they should have to deal with it not the Steelers or the Ravens or any other team. If that means forfeiting or playing without practicing all week then so be it. Again it’s not the Steelers problem the Titans got Corona and they shouldn’t have to pay the price for it. Switching bye weeks is not fair and you won’t be able to do this in every instance this happens which isn’t fair either.

There is no national mandate, it’s state by state but the last I heard, it was knocked down to 10 days. So they could send all those affected home for quarantine and the rest of the team could participate.

If they play a game Monday, the whole team could be together again by the following game. Theoretically.

Thats one benefit from games only being played once a week.

I recognize the concerns with COVID. However, postponing the game now would put the Steelers at a great disadvantage. Players use the bye week to recover, wind down and get ready for the remainder of the season. Our guys are still practicing, putting wear and tear on their bodies. Essentially, if the game is rescheduled, the NFL would be robbing the Steelers of a bye week

There is a human element to this. If you are a player that has to go up against a team that has experienced an outbreak, you would be concerned.

Cam Heyward is asthmatic. I am sure he has concerns. Some of these players my have at risk loved ones at home. If this game ends up being played, I would not be surprised to see some players sit out.

If the pandemic has shown us anything it’s that we as a nation are a bunch of self centered whiney little bitches.

Like I said it’s the Titans issue having to deal with this so they should be the ones to pay the biggest penalty at the end of the day not the Steelers. The Titans should have to play this game without practicing all week I feel before forcing the Steelers to move their bye week around and play 13 straight weeks. Again it’s the Titans issue and they are the ones who should suffer the greatest consequences not the Steelers.

Why would they sit out? They aren’t going to let anyone who is sick play in it. They aren’t even letting those people at the team facility.

This is why the US leads the world in covid cases and deaths. I call it man-baby syndrome. Symptoms include not giving a **** about anyone but your self and ignoring all facts for the sake of "fairness". Seems to only be prevalent in the US.

I don't even understanding how postponing is an option? You roll with the healthy players you have. Absolutely confirm those who will take the field don't have it of course to protect us.

However, if this game is pushed out of week 4, the Steelers are the biggest losers out of all of this. We are already practicing. And then they want to just make it our bye week on short notice? And then put us in a terrible position for the rest of the year?

I can live with pushing it to Monday but they just can't switch our bye weeks on us and the Steelers absolutely should not agree to that if it's presented as an option. This isnt our fault, don't penalize us.

Never mind @TuRnDoWnForWaTT@TuRnDoWnForWaTT , how did they all get sick in the first place when they test multiple times a week.

I dont know dude. My wife is currently pregnant with our fourth child. If I had to play in this game I wouldn't be worried for myself, but for the health of her and the baby. It's easy to sit back and judge when you dont know other people's situations. These players are also people with families.

I don’t think the bye week scenario is an option because this will certainly happen again and then what.

Exactly. I see so many "journalists" pushing for it though. But it can't possibly be an option.

I assume the NFL has planned for this. NFL does not have the flexibility of other leagues. You can't start postponing games every week.

Not to sound like a cold dude but then the players should have opted out then like they were given the choice to do in the summer before training camp. Cam Heyward or any other player knew this was a possibility going into the season that they might encounter this situation playing against an opponent who’s team got Corona. He knew the risk and still chose to play and not opt out so he must have not been that concerned about it because that’s the decision he chose to make.

I dont know. It only takes one guy to muck it up for everyone. These are young rich guys in their 20s and 30s. All it takes is messing with a chick that has it, and all the sudden you get 8 people infected.

As for players sitting out, Cam Heyward was a bit iffy on playing the season with his asthma. I wouldn't be surprised if someone in his situation considers sitting this one out. I can't imagine the Steelers would hold it against him if he did.
