I get it that they played the chiefs but still they looked like complete garbage in every aspect.

This is looking way down the road but if the Steelers can win their next 3 games at Tennessee and at home against the Eagles and the Browns and get to 6-0 and assuming the Ravens win their next 3 games at Washington, home against the Bengals and at Philadelphia which they probably will the Steelers would have an absolute golden opportunity to essentially go up 3 games on the Ravens in the standings if they can win in Baltimore on October 25th. The Steelers would be 7-0 and the Ravens would be 5-2 so you would be 2 games up in the standings and essentially 3 with the head to head. So still a lot that can happen between now and 27 days from now when that game is played, but there is no doubt looking ahead at this point and time that game right there is going to be gigantic.

Jackson looked pissed off about something all second half. It definitely didn't look like he was in sync with the rest of his offense. Towards the end there were two massive sacks on him. Could just be an off day, could be something going on behind closed doors... who knows.

I was glad that the Ravens lost, but I looked at how Patrick Mahomes played and I said how do you over come his ability to get past him and to play in the Super Bowl.

Just an amazing thrower of the football, I really don't know how he does it. Literally watched him back pedal for 7 yards to get out of sack and he threw a rope 50 yards down field spot on.

Dude is just amazing, and he owns Lamar Jackson.

See what happened was, I got up to pee around 1:45am. I turned on my phone to see the final score, then navigated to thesteelersfans, from there, it’s a little hazy as to what happened.

And yet, he wasn’t even on the field the same time Lamar/Jamar was

The best way to get past KC in the playoffs is to get the #1 seed

This was supposed to be a "statement game" for them at home against the defending SB champs... They lost by 14 points in a game that was much more lopsided than the score indicated. It is only one game against a really good team, but these are the games you have to compete in. You dont have to win, but they needed to show that they belonged and they didn't. That Chiefs team is just better than Baltimore. I will say that the Chiefs did provide a blue print on how to beat Baltimore... Get a lead and make Jackson throw to beat you. Not that Lamar isn't a special player, but he does a ton of damage with his legs and (I believe at least) does a lot of damage due to being the only offense in the league that operates in the manner that Baltimore does. You don't get the reps vs Baltimore style offense but for one week leading up to that game. I'm not writing them off, but I do believe there is some reason to worry if you're a Ravens fan. They showed a lot of flaws and vulnerabilities last night.

That being said if we can manage to stop the run vs. Baltimore and our offense shows up and puts up some points, I like our chances against the Ravens this year. Just gotta keep winning the games we should... That way we can compete with and even separate from the Ravens if we take a game or two off them.

I would go with the plan that Parcells used against the Bills, keep their o off the field.

Yeah, Mahomes has a chance to be the best to ever have done it. He is literally that talented. Watching him play last night just shows how great he is. There is no QB on his level. Closest might be Wilson? There are definite QB tiers in the NFL for sure, and he stands alone at the top.

    1. Mahomes
    (tier)
    2. Wilson
    3. Rodgers
    4a/b. Lamar
    4a/b. Watson
    (tier)
6-10 any combo of Prescott, Ben, Brees, then Murray and Josh Allen at the back end
    (tier)
11-15 Brady, Goff, Stafford, Tannehill and Jimmy G in no particular order
    (tier)
16-20 Newton, Cousins, Rivers, Ryan, Wentz in no particular order
    (tier)
21-25 Mayfield, Bridgewater, Minshew, Carr, Burrow in no particular order
    (tier)
The rest - Lock, Darnold, Jones, Haskins, Taylor/Herbert, Fitz, Trubisky/Foles in whatever order you see fit

HOW we beat the Titans will show the abilities of this team, not the victory. And if they aren't fielding a 4th of their team and haven't even practiced, will we have proven anything?

The game was really good for the rest of the league to see how to play both these qb's. The Chiefs were able to contain and frustrate Jamar (I really like that. Gonna keep using it) for most of the game. He got so frustrated late in the game that he almost took himself out of the game mentally. When things go his way, he's dangerous. When they don't, he withers.

And it looked like the Ravens had a decent gameplan against Mahomes. They were pretty disciplined up front and did a good job in coverage. He is/was just too good. I don't know what any team can do defensively against him. The opposing offense is simply going to have to convert drives to touchdowns. Playing the Chiefs is going to be more about the opposing offense than anything else.

If you want to beat the Chiefs, give them a free vacation to Nashville the week before you play them.

The tight end dropped a bunch too, including a TD.

I saw a stat after the game that Lamar Jackson is 21-4 as a starter, 3 of the 4 losses are to the Chiefs.

Tough to say. I think what looked pretty evident is that LJ really needs the threat of the running game to be successful throwing the ball. When play action doesn't affect the LBs and safeties, his results aren't good.

Reminds me of when Kraperdick and RGIII were declared the Second Coming until the D's figured out they were one dimensional. Take away LJ's run game and the Ratbird offense would be nothing. JMHO.

    Not just this.

Baltimore is built to play with a lead, not behind one. Should they fall behind early, Lamar has yet to show the ability to match a QB like Mahomes blow for blow. For that matter, Tennessee beat them at their own game in the Playoffs.

What is worse is what Lamar admitted after the game. I understand others know what the teams weakness is but why reveal it to begin with?! Makes no sense to me.
