Dupree had 1.5 sacks and Watt had 1

Do people expect the Steelers players to never give up any plays to the opposition? Watson made good throws and did a good job extending plays a few times.

    Exactly.

Watson is a very good Qb, one who would look even better if he was away from Bill O'Brien. Sometimes - and I am half sarcastic saying this- one gets the feeling on here that opposition success is 100% due to Steeler failings, not that there just might be good players on other teams...

That is true. Defenses can't completely shutdown offenses now due to the rules, which is sad.

I still reminisce about the defenses of the 90s that could completely clamp down and shut offenses down.

Seems to me we saw the same complaints when DL was around... we give up too much stuff across the middle. Now granted Dupree+Watt < JH + LW and we don't have Casey taking up two people in the middle. Only 3 games in and certainly there is room for improvement but right now we're (cref https://www.nfl.com/stats/team-stats/)
    #7 in opposing QBR
    #1 in sacks
#1 in rushing yards (#13 in passing yards)
#2 for interceptions (5 way tie)

What I like is, so far at least, we haven't seen any of those complete busts in the secondary where guys are staring at each other after the play wondering who's guy that was that just caught a wide open TD. Edmunds still looks a little lost at times, but other than that I'm pretty happy with the secondary play. Yes, we sometimes give up big chunks, but like others have said, this is a league where that's almost impossible to prevent every play.

Nelson is off his game this year, other than that, secondary is playing well.

Idk. Despite the second half dominance, this secondary is still ready to be picked apart.

    True.

That said, expect that to change. For that matter, Steven Nelson has to step it up this week. Otherwise, him starting is going to be a problem going forward.

    Yep.

He is starting to scratch the surface. Keep in mind his first unofficial INT came against Tennessee back during the 2018 Pre Season. Could he be in for a breakout game next week?!

We will have to wait and see.

That it is. Good thing to as Derrick Henry is much different than when we faced him in 2017. That said, so are the Steelers. Cannot wait.

    Never hurts.

You should try it some time as opposed to being so pessimistic.

And so did the other qb's we faced. The secondary can't hold up AT ALL without help from the pass rush. Out of position, trailing, or too slow to react to receivers entering or crossing zones. We make average qb's look good and good qb's look even better. That is not a recipe for long-term success.
