This Sunday's game at Cincy IS the season! A win at Cincy who seem to play at another level when we visit will put us right back in this thing but a loss and the year is over! Never been a fan of one game making the entire year but there will only be 6 games after this so time is limited!

its a very big game. there a big difference in being 7-3 and being 6-4.

they cannot afford to lose another game in their division.

i still say they are a 12 win team and will be a big threat in the playoffs. this team has way too many weapons to just go away.

You cannot say that it is a must win because the Steelers will still be alive for the playoffs if they lose. However, it is a game that a championship caliber team should win. Adversity doesn't build character, it reveals it! This game will reveal the character of this team!

    Steelers- 34
    Bengals- 17

Division record will come into it, though. There would be nothing worse than going, say 11-5 and still missing out.

I expect the game to be close. I still expect us to win - hopefully the Ravens game has stoked the fire rather than dampened it.

Yeah, but shouldn't the first Ratbirds game have stoked the fire for the second one? This is simply a case of the team not showing up and delivering the goods. We need to start showing up and playing to win... not playing to not lose.

Any chance to win the Division is definitely over. Be a long shot for the wild card too. Definitely a must win!

I'm expecting a loss this week, then 3 straight wins after the bye. Then a loss at SF, followed by wins against STL and CLE. 11-5, 5th seed. IF we had one this week, I would have predicted 12-4 and #2 seed.

I expect a win. It's not a must win, but's it's a 'need to win'. We need to start taking care of our own business, instead of waiting around and hoping others don't take care of there's. Here's a quick one for Sunday's game.

We lose this game and I have to listen to my Buddy, who is from cincitucky. He will not shut up if they beat us. I buy him Bengal stuff for his birthday and Christmas and he buys me Steeler stuff for mine. But I don't want to hear him bustin my chops.

It's a big game to be sure, but it's not the season. If we head into the bye at 6-4, there is still a pretty good chance that we finish with 6 straight if we need them. We will do no worse than a split with Cinci, and should be able to beat San Fran and KC in must win games. That said, I fully expect a win on Sunday. An ugly win, but a win nonetheless.

Steelers have won eight of the past nine games in Cincinnati.
Ben Roethlisberger is 6-1 at Cincinnati with 10 touchdowns, five interceptions and a passer rating of 98.7.
Running back Rashard Mendenhall posted 99 yards rushing with a touchdown in his previous game against the Bengals.Mendenhall needs one rushing touchdown to become the eighth player in franchise history with at least 25 rushing touchdowns.
Wide receiver Mike Wallace looks to record his third straight 100 yards receiving in a game in Cincinnati.
Wide receiver Antonio Brown has posted 100 yards receiving or more in two of the past three games.
Linebacker LaMarr Woodley (48) needs two sacks to become sixth player in franchise history with 50 career quarterback sacks.
James Harrison has posted three quarterback sacks in his previous games against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Safety Troy Polamalu tied a career-best two interceptions in the last meeting against Cincinnati, including a 45-yard touchdown return.SORRY BUT ITS NOT EVEN GOING TO BE CLOSE!!!!!!!!!!!! IMO :herewego!:

Thanks! I can't take credit for making it, only being proficient at Google searches. When I stumbled upon it, it was love at first sight.

True enough. Perhaps the fire was too stoked? Too much going for the big hits rather than playing sensibly in coverage.

That said, we do need to remember that we lost by essentially the last play of the game, on an unfeasible drive. So we certainly did better than the first game against the Ravens. Obviously, better is not good enough, though.

I wish you were right (and I hope as well) BUT there is NO WAY we go to Cincy and destroy them! winning breeds confidence and no matter their opponents the Bengals are playing well!! Steelers have to understand this IS the season!!!!!

At the start of the season, I chalked this game up to a sure win...

Not anymore. We have to play better in our secondary or we will lose and another loss in our division means we are toast. :bye:
