I think A.) People aren't throwing his way, and B.) He is only playing the high safety now, he isn't moving around as much where he can get involved.

Agree. Seems like the Steelers want these newer QBs to beat them not the talent around them beating them.

    A few things:

Haven’t noticed Minkah too much which can be a good and bad thing. The good is teams are not throwing near him the bad is he’s not making any splash plays.

Nelson seems to be getting thrown at and giving up far more catches through 2 weeks than I remember last year.

Bush/Williams/Edmunds all cannot cover in space. Major issue for teams exploiting those guys in the middle of the field. Really disappointed Bush has not improved at all in pass coverage so far.

that being said it’s early and these first games are somewhat preseason.

Yeah, I'm starting to get concerned... Unless they are completely just not throwing his way?

I have seen some so-so open field tackles from him this year....

I'm not too worried about lack of Edmunds INT's, he is the SS. I think we are a little spoiled by Troy making so many plays from that position.

We don't get concerned at all. We're undefeated. The way he plays doesn't matter. Our secondary had two int's today. There's nothing wrong with this defense. We're 4-0 and you want to complain about MF? Geesh!!

Minka better put on his thinking cap, and get back to fundamentals (tackling)
And get his mind in the game. He is MUCH better than he has been playing. Same for Hayden. Bush.
Minka and Bush have been disappointing thru the first 4 weeks.

I never said the team doesn't have any concerns, every team does, the secondary is a big concern especially giving up 3rd and long.

rushing 3 on 3rd and long never works for us, yet we keep doing it. Need to bring the house so the qb has to dump off.

Lack of splash plays can be simply that teams are respecting him.

So-so, as in horrible, tackling is all on him.

    Haden - 2 pbus, 1int
    Nelson - 2 pbus, 2 ints
    Minkah - 0 pbus, 0 ints
    Edmunds - 2 pbus, 0 ints
    Hilton - 3 pbus, 1 int

as thru 4 games in case anyone's wondering

Cam, Alualu, Watt, Dupree and Tuitt have combined 7 pbus and 2 ints.

I'd like some more splash plays, but if QBs aren't throwing his way, there's nothing Minkah can do about it.
What does concern me though is his cheap shot on Fulgham that wasn't called after he scored his TD. Minkah leaned in and did a helmet to helmet hit. You're frustrated by a player having a career day, it happens. Don't play dirty.
