Agree, that late pass interference call should have cost us the game. When does Davis get his shot?

Ben is rusty, yet he is still good. He is still learning the talents of Claypool and Dionte Johnson. The depth of the Steelers receivers is fantastic. Steelers can basically go 4 wide anytime they want and create man-to-man matchups.

    Hey steel machine.

Yeah, last week some people were dogging Nelson. This week it is Haden. Some people do not get it, it would seem. Each week it could be someone different. That may be a good thing. For if it is the same person(s) each week, then there is a problem. Edmunds was a "problem" last week to some. This week, not bad. Last week, Mr. Walters' lesson plan was great. This week, it was not. Oh well.

Agree for the most part but...So many batted balls from there Lineman, Something that gets overlooked...And Ben was really off today, Put a couple of throws on the money...But SO many easy, 5 yard passes were low, high, behind...His body language knew he played poorly...Really needs to play much better!

Those batted passes have a lot more to do with Big Ben. He is still a bit rusty. Very seldom did Big Ben have his throws batted down like that.

The Broncos got two touchdowns by getting the Steelers' inside linebackers in mismatches. Keith Butler is in midseason form.

Where are the TE's in our offense?

Vance looks like he lost his inner Vanimal. Just going through the motions.

    Indeed.

Then again, Eric Ebron did not fare as well as I had hoped.

They do get graded quite toughly, but if you mean by the media that's never going to happen nor do I think it should. NFL refs get fired all the time if they continue to grade poorly, unlike baseball. I get as upset as everyone else, but they are held accountable.

Yes, we are better off in going with 4 receivers set then the 2 tight ends. The 2 tight end sets keep Claypool on the bench and he is producing better then the tight ends. He caught a low pass from Ben around the kneels with great effort, Ebron missed the same type of pass around the knees with little or no effort. We get more results with the 4 receivers set. The little better blocking we might get from the 2 tight ends set does not out weigh the better plays coming from the better athletics.

I thought same thing watching them. They are 0-2 and have scored 36 points. Then I wondered if the Ravens are that strong because the game looked very easy for them.

Way I see it if we barely eek out a win against them there will be posters that will use that to show how much stronger the Ravens are compared to our boys.

It is important to be a threat in the middle of the field. If they just throw to the outside it makes them one dimensional...

The hell? He's a bit rusty but not "very rusty." Of course, his 107 rating says otherwise.

Bush didn't stand a chance on several plays. I can't help but wonder if he is being used wrong....he is so gifted!

If our secondary doesn't improve and learn some discipline, we will get literally torched by Watson.

But I suspect that we will see a different defensive scheme.....I hope!

Yes, because the Ravens were on the road, at Houston and dominated. Steelers get the Texans at Heinz Field.

Fully agree! He has to be the most wasted helmet this year. Why do we have two highly paid TE when we don’t even make use of one?

    The good:
    1. we won
    2. Chase!!!!
    3. 1st half defense
    4. Right side of the o-line that everyone was so worried about
    5. the return game..…. only a matter of time before ray ray and deonte take one to the house (without penalties)

    The bad:
    1. 2nd half defense
    2. Benny Snell's Ball security
    3. undisciplined play (stupid penalties)

    The ugly:
    1. the final score, which should've been about 40 - 10
    2. Ben's descision making when he has too much time

The Ravens that good or the Texans really bad this year? Houston in free fall this year imo.

I think both of these fall on Ben's new infatuation(ok going on 3 yrs isn't new) with that 3 wr 1 TE, single back personnel grouping. You can't get a fb in there with it and the routes they are having Juju and DJ run basically take away the TE seam route that was Ben and Heath's bread and butter. They had a couple of targets to Ebron in a soft spot of the zone but nothing vertically challenging. Those 2 yard out and up routes they are giving Mac are a waste. He can't build up steam and little Db's are chopping at his legs which will end up getting him hurt.

When Watt was in there leading the way it was able to spring Conner for his biggest run in his career. But it also is a tell that they are going to run so execution better be spot on.

In regards to your Edmunds/Bush assessment im gojng to go to the bane of the Steelers defense going back 20 years or so. More concerned with completely shutting down the run than playing your responsibility. Edmunds last week and Bush this week, looking into the backfield instead of covering their man. Heck VWill was doing it too. Looking to lay a big hit instead of coveribg their own man.
